  1. Thanks Darknlovely...we will keep in touch...you can pm me anytime girl...lets do this! I get my first fill on Tuesday 4cc's in a 10 cc band...I can't wait for some restriction.
  2. Michee, How are you doing?
  3. I think you need to talk to your doctor and remind him that you are paying him for this service...if after a reasonable amount of time has passed....(enough to heal 4-6 weeks) and you still have an appetite he needs to give you a fill. The last thing you want is to be frustrated. Take care.
  4. Congratulations on your surgery Darknlovely......
  5. Pretty good Angel Bear, I went back to work yesterday and am feeling good! I go for my first fill on Tuesday...can't wait....I am getting my appetite back.
  6. Hey my dear...don't beat up on yourself...remember you are no super being...take it from a past veteren binge eater...don't beat up on yourself. Yes the surgery is a last resort but yes you are human and will make mistakes. I was in your shoes a week after surgery thinking oh my god what did I just do to myself and why the hell did I pay $16 grand to do it! lol...trust me I was a wreck...but you know what...it gets better...I thank GOD I did this surgery. Don't worry what you are going through is normal. Don't reverse the surgery. Keep at it and don't give up on yourself. One year from now you will be amazed with your self!
  7. I have overcome an eating disorder that I have struggled with for years. That is a biggie for me!
  8. Okay good...I can't wait!!! Thanks
  9. Peaches, Do you feel any restriction in comparison to not being filled?
  10. Hi Peaches, How much fills did you get? How did you feel after the first fill? How much was your first fill?
  11. Hey eveyone, I had my surgery on August 7, 2007. I am on solid foods right now and can eat almost anything...kinda getting scared. It was my first day back to work today and I ate cake today and could just step on my big toe! I am getting my first fill on September 4, 2007, I can't wait. I am supposed to get 4 cc's. I am very excited but I don't know what to expect. I have a 10 cc band. Can the more experienced bandsters tell me what to expect? I did have 3 cc's in my band after surgery and had a lot of restriction but that was in combonation with a hernia repair and swelling. How does the weight loss work? What will I feel if I eat too much...will that be enough of a deterent? What are some of the things that made you successful and kept you going. I really need your help.

  18. I met with Sue (the nurse) today at the clinic....I am down 19 lbs (gained a pound since surgery) and I can get soft foods now...anyone have any idea for soft foods??? I am getting my appetite back and don't want to go overboard.:help:

  21. Hey Nuddy, Don't worry my hubby had to take care of me too...I could see how pleased he was lol....maybe your potassium is low seeing that you are not getting all the Vitamins you should get...if the headaches persist get some blood work done...when my potassium is low is get disgusting headaches. Rekunah, I thought so too but appearently at the time of surgery they flush the band to ensure no air is in there and leave 3 cc's of Fluid. That fluid was giving me a hard time. I came out yesterday...I burped for the first time since surgery....that felt sooooo good!
  22. Hey Sherrylynn, I am doing fine....I had a de fill yesterday and feel so much better...just getting over the aches and pains now...but that's the least...I am feeling so good now.
  23. Wonderful Beau...good for you....you will do amazing.
  24. Welcome, I know the feeling....It is not easy being overweight both physically and emotionally. I was recently banded and just started my journey. I know it won't be easy but my health is so worth it. Take care girlie.
