  1. Thanks for replying, everyone. I wore jeans today for the first time 2 weeks post op. Molly 10/2/13
  2. 2 week post op appointments went well. Asked the Nut about Flintstones Complete vs bariatric specific Vitamins. He said as long as I took 2 a day along with Calcium, B12, B complex and D3 it's fine. As always, follow what your clinic's protocol is. This was mine. I've had some mysterious dumping the last few mornings. The working theory is I might have low potassium that might be causing the extreme fatigue that follows the dump. <knock wood> it didn't happen today. Hopefully, it's now in the past. Molly 10/2/13
  3. Good luck and see you on the bench soon!
  4. Keep walking and moving. It probably won't be for much longer. It took about 6-7 days for me to lose the gas and the extra Fluid weight. Molly
  5. How long post op before you wore jeans again? I'm already sick of wearing my stretchy pants, but don't feel quite ready to wear my jeans yet. Just wondering how long some others waited. Molly 10/2/13
  6. I've only lost 3 lbs post surgery so far. I'm not too concerned, yet. I have had two meals (eggs yesterday and tuna today) that didn't sit well. I didn't feel better until I pooped. Yesterday I just went to bed, today was my first day back in the office, so bed wasn't an option. Just spent some quality time in the loo until it passed. Molly 10/2
  7. Mine lasted far about 6 days. Molly 10/2
  8. Amazon and a local grocery store. Look for Torani and DaVinci brands.
  9. Wow that's impressive weight loss so far! I had my first eggs this am. Didn't sit well at all. Hope it goes better for you ! Molly 10/2
  10. Colace along has never worked for me. Good luck and I hope things (ahem) go more smoothly for you soon.
  11. Yes, I add it to the squash purée and other things that don't already have protein in it. I add it after I heat it up. I have one scoop of unflavored protein that I sprinkle into foods all day long. Others like the potato/leek Soup, I added plain Greek yogurt for creaminess and protein. I put Benefiber in my shakes and take 2 colace pills a day, so I don't get constipated. Mine are loose, but I'd rather have it that way than strain from constipation. Molly 10/2
  12. It's now 10 days post op and I feel pretty great! I started working from home a couple of days ago (being a distance education specialist has its perks) and I plan to rerun to the office on Monday because I miss my office colleagues. I feel ready! I've been making extra puréed food, freezing it in ice cube trays and then put the cubes into a ziplock bag so I can take portions to work for my meals. So far I've made puréed winter squash and potato/leek Soup. In the fridge, I have some yummy puréed tuna ( made with capers, anchovies and fresh lemon juice). I think I'll make some applesauce this weekend. I've decided that Fall is the best time to be on a puréed diet. I'm also really happy that WLS has not made my passion to cook go away. I was a little worried that I might become disgusted or find cooking hard when I can't eat everything ( or as during the liquid pre-diet and now during post-op puréed diet) I can taste for seasoning correction. I've just stuck with more tried and true recipes and told my family to add their own salt and pepper. Molly 10/2/13
  13. IWannaBLoser, How was going back to work this week for you?
  14. I swear my stomach could talk to whales for about 6 days post op! Molly 10/2
  15. Lynn, I hope that by the time you are reading this that your HGB has normalized and that you will be headed home soon! Molly 10/2/13
  16. I hope both hear from them soon with a date and that is isn't too far in the future! The two week liquid date was a cake walk compared to the awful bowl prep. Sorry to hear that you also have to do that again. Molly 10/2
