  1. Yeh what everybody else above me has said!! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous....
  2. No other words to say but AWESOME!! You are doing it!!!
  3. Thank you. I enjoy reading each person's experiences. It just keeps surgery date in perspective. I'm scheduled 8/14.
  4. Thank you so much for answering my questions. You are a wealth of knowledge. Just by reading other posts, it sounds like you are right on track with the weight loss. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for you as my surgery date gets closer. Thank you again & please keep in touch. I would love to read about your journey
  5. So good to hear. I originally requested Dr. Farrell (he comes with such high recommendation). But I was told by both Beverly (appt sec) & Lisa that Dr. Farrell was only doing bypass now. Dr. Overby is doing all of the sleeves. So Dr. Overby it is! I agree about the nutritional end of it. I am already seeing that in the pre-op stage. Is there a pre-op diet (like the 2 wk liquid you hear everyone talking about)? I can't seem to get a confirmation answer for the nutritionist. Also, how long did you stay inpatient & how long post-op before you went back to work (if you do work away from home)? Just trying to juggle plans for home & work post-op.
  6. I am tentatively on the schedule for Aug 14 with Dr. Overby. I have to call and confirm mid-July. How did things go for you?

I totally agree with Nicolanz. At least she confessed...right? It does, hurt now, but you will find peace again. This very potential situation was stressed to me and my partner at my surgery consultation. Apparently, it is a very frequent thing for partners/spouses to breakup/divorce after WLS. When a person has WLS, sometimes the other half just can't deal with the change. So you have to ask yourself, was she really "in love" with you prior to the WLS or did she just "love you." There is a difference in those 2 things. Congrats on your WLS journey and don't give up!!
  8. Wednesday August 14th!!! YAHOOO ????
