Thanks lovelies! I grabbed some tomatoes and cucumber onion and made a beautiful (fetta less) Greek salad, with a side order of water. Sometimes I just need to know I can do this and I will make to a healthy life!! Cheers

Thanks kelliv it makes me worry about how I am going to cope after my op. I could give up chocolate, cakes coffee but man I really feel like a piece of cheese :-( .anyway I am going to stay strong and follow your advice more water!!!

Just wanted to say "thanks" - its nice to know that 1. I'm not the only one with a husband that doesn't think before opening his mouth and 2. Asking a question that not many would bring up for discussion! All I can add to everyone else's brilliant comments is - wait until you are feeling comfortable, only you know how you are really feeling and if he has too wait so be it. Better or worse sickness and in health lol

Start looking at what you eat, maybe a food diary that way you can track your weak spots! I had some ceremonial meals but tried really hard to keep life as normal. I am on the first week of pre op diet and after the first three days have settled into a routine. Keep reading the posts on here as they are fantastic at answering all of your questions. Good luck and keep your eye on the prize

Thanks kelliv I would love to meet up but being on the optifast I'm kind of hibernating (sulking)!! Would love to catch up after my op on the 12th though :-)

Hi retrogolly, I am in brissey also, my doctor is dr hatzifotis, he is great! To the point and doesn't sugar coat anything but his smile is infectious and I once asked him if he really loves his job that much to smile all the time - his reply was yes and his favourite visits are always the month after surgery :-). I got a drs referral and discussed it with him on a very basic level. Then I researched everything I could lay my hands on, not sure if this was for me or for the arguments that I knew I would have to put up to the doubters! If you need someone to talk to please feel free to get on and ask away.

Second day of my pre op diet and have the worst headaches! Anyone else suffer headaches? I am still having diet coke for the caffine so know its not that, making me really down :-(

I think I'm ready..... I feel strong and determined but every now and then I get a moment when I think "are you really sure you want to do this?" Best thing I do is get on here and read everyone's thoughts. Keep me posted on your journey, I haven't told very many people so it will be nice to have someone to share things with

Hey guys, I am two weeks out and start my Optifast tomorrow but I am full of nervous energy! Everyone around me are more concerned about my last meals that I am getting more nervous about my decision.... Anyone else have that problem?
