  1. You aren't alone, Aunt Flo was vengeful with me the first time she visited after my surgery. I actually hear its fairly common...something about the weight loss causing a hormone release. It should get better over the next few months..although some women do experience longer changes in their cycle. If the abdominal pain concerns you..or doesn't lessen with your next cycle..I would ask my surgeon...better safe than sorry right? Hope you feel better!
  2. Today is my tenth day post op, and everything is going really well. My problem is that my sleeve sends me mixed/confusing signals, and I can't tell when I am hungry or when I am full really. My stomach is still kind of grumbly in general all of the time, and I think sometimes I confuse that for hunger. I will feel certain that I am hungry, go to have some broth or some juice, and my stomach says NEVERMIND and is clearly full after one mouthful. Other times, I will be having something and will be unsure if I am full or not, and can consume well over half a cup of a protein shake or some soup in that particular sitting. Thoughts? How do you guys decipher the sometimes mysterious signals your sleeves send you?
  3. How is a leak fixed? Just curious.

  5. I have been sleeved for eight days now, and also experienced the same thing. My Dr told me not to worry about the shakes for the first few days and just to focus on water intake. He also prescribed some anti nausea meds for me that really helped calm my stomach down and allowed me to get more fluids in. Maybe ask your surgeon if something like that would help? I promise is gets better, hang in there!
