  1. Omg i can't believe i am less than 48 hoooouuuuurs away from starting my new life ....from getting sleeved O.O i am soooo nervous i have read enough info to atleast think i know what to expect =) i just pray and hope everything comes out well keep me in ur prayers!
  2. When i called them i was told that everything would be covered 100% but that i do have a copay of $1000 now i am unsure of how true or not that may be because my mother in law is also having the surgery done the week after me and she was told no copay but we both have the same exact insurance so honestly i am unsure about the copay but if it was to be true my insurance coordinator told me they would mail me the bill for it after surgery and i can choose a payment plan that best, i also no of a lady that had it done and she never got a bill for the $1000 but so far we've only had $25 copays for the surgeon's appointments and the psych other than that the $550 for the Nutrition Program Fee everyone having surgery through Brigham and Womens must pay that fee no insurance covers it so its out-of-pocket.
  3. Hi frosty i will be having my surgery this coming Tuesday the 10th and also have Harvard Pilgrim my surgeon is Dr. Scott Shikora at the Brigham and Womens Hospital (he is the director of bariatric surgeons) he is awesome i started my appointments back in June i gotta say it has been Excellent soo far the doctor, the nurses, secretary, the NUT everything has been great, smooth and fast =) even my insurance once i was done with all my appointments my paperwork was submitted to HP on a Wednesday afternoon and approved almost immediately i got an email from my insurance coordinator the following Friday morning and here i am doing preop diet and waiting to go in on Tuesday, a little scared and nervous.

  5. Thats great hope all works out for you i really do =) thats great that hubby is doing it as well. My hubby has been sooo supportive about the whole process to the point that he is doing pre-op diet with me and is loosing lbs really quick himself so thats been awesome and he wants to do liquid diet with me after surgery lets see how that will go for him lol gotta ♥ them and their support =)
  6. Mammecan....yes i did although my date was tentative for like a day until surgeons secretary got confirmation of the Operating Room of wether or not it was available for the days that my surgeon was available which were either the 10th or 11th for me and 17th or 18th for my MIL (my surgeon works out of 2 hospitals both the same but different locations maybe like 20 minutes from each other) and one of the hospitals has private rooms for the patients after surgery so we decided to go to that 1 (not having to share a room with anyone else and being able to have someone stay with you i think is a PLUS) and my surgeon also has access to the Robot (advanced technology) like he called it in that hospital to work with but i got confirmation of my date within a day and then my paperwork was submitted 2 days after and approved in less than 48 hours.
