  1. Hi. Anxious to hear how everyone is doing that had the sleeve and went to DS. I’m debating.
  2. Hi. Thank you so much for posting this. I’m trying to find a group of people who had the sleeve and are now getting the Ds - Or had it. Any help pointing me to the right forum is appreciated. I’m digging through as many as I can find for reference.
  3. Hi. Just checking to see how you’ve been. I’m considering the duodenal switch. I had a sleeve in 2014. They didn’t talk about resleeving me. Just the DS. How has your experience been different than the sleeve? Thanks so much. In advance.
  4. Hi Aaron, I logged on after a couple of years because I have been struggling. It is so frustrating to still have to struggle after all your efforts. I am a big believer that everyone has something that keeps them humble and working hard. You can do this. It is not too late. Stinks that you have to venture through it again but, you know that it's possible. Keep positive, it's better than the alternative. I'm excited to hear about your progress.
  5. Thanks so much. I have my 8 week post op on Monday and am looking forward to it. Something is certainly wrong. Appreciate the ideas and feedback.
  6. Hi Gamergirl. I am averaging 60 g of Protein, about 35 carbs and calories range between 700-800.
  7. Thanks, Nate. I take it for pain, too so I'm reluctant to stop. You take it whole? Thanks. I'm sure the simple cards effect me more than they used to.
  8. Hi. I am 8 weeks post op and am sooo exhausted. I've started making some bad food choices thinking they'll give me some boost of energy. Its really starting to pact my functionality at work and home. I'm starting to wonder if my cymbalta and thyroid meds aren't being fully digested. I just take them in their capsules. Anyone have similar experience? I'm literally taking 2 naps a day and am foggy headed.
  9. Good afternoon! I'm not sure if I'm missing a thread or forum but, I'm not seeing much content from fellow June surgeries. Is everyone on the FB page? If so, how can I find it? I had my surgery June 26. I've lost 29 lbs - about 12 percent. I have not lost weight in two weeks. Ugh. Any advice is appreciated.
  10. Morning. I'm on week six and can't operate after 2 pm either. I require daily naps and it hasn't been uncommon for me to go to bed at 6. I'm a , major mover and this is killing me.
  11. Great job on your weight loss. I had my surgery the same day. Though I haven't been short of breath, I know its hard for me to take deep breaths and in post op I felt like I couldn't breath. I wonder if its just your body's weekness? Are you able to take a deep breath or is that painful?
  12. I was sleeved on the 26th. Feel great except this right incision where they removed my stomach is killing me constantly. Do you think that's just the process or maybe I separated it too far?
  13. Yes, 8 pounds!
  14. Thank you, friends. I really appreciate your advice.
  15. Thank you everyone - so much. Your insight and encouragement are really appreciated. I'm going to try the ice and hearing pads. I've been walking a ton but its painful with the gas. Best of luck to each of you. Thank you!
  16. Hi. I had surgery yesterday and everything has been great. However, I have such miserable pain when I get up and sit or lay down. An idea how many days this lasts?
  17. I didn't really have to do a pre op diet. How did you do? I'm feeling a strange range of emotions about food limitations. I hope you are well. Here's to tomorrow and beyond!,
  18. Best of luck to all of you 25thers. You'll do awesome!!
  19. Absolutely. Or we can exchange emails. Really nervous tonight! Seems so weird to be divorcing my dependency on sweets.
  20. Yes, the 26th! It's great advice from both of you, thank you. I do well with structure but I feel overwhelmed. I love the idea of the vitamins on the counter and phases on the fridge. Thank you again.
  21. I have 4 days before surgery. I'm freqking out - not because of the surgery itself but, because eating seems so complicated after. Is it hard to remember Vitamins, meals, Proteins?
  22. Hi. I went to get my pre op tests done today! I knew it would make it even more real. So excited. And nervous.
