  1. The metallic taste is fading for me. It's still there, but not as strong...or i'm just getting used to it. lol
  2. I was just sleeved on May 20th and I have over 200 pounds to loose. I'm telling myself that I can do it and I'll give it all I got.
  3. I'm in Cumberland County. We were sleeved the same day! Cool! How are you feeling?

Boy, that is good to know. I'm in a size 12 wide and there are zero choices where I'm at. I'd be thrilled to drop a shoe size.
  6. It's 3:00 am right now. That's why I'm up. I have been taking a pain pill before bed and it helps me to be comfortable and sleep, but it just didn't cut it tonight. I am also a stomach sleeper and I'm struggling sleeping on my back. I spent the first week sleeping in the recliner because I found it most comfortable. Every day I wake up I seem to be feeling better and better. Fingers crossed that I can sleep on my belly soon and sleep well. Good luck to you!!
  7. Good for you! You look great!
  8. I was just sleeved on May 20th, but I am sure that my style in clothes will change. The way i picked clothes in the past was by looking for anything in my size, see if it fits and if it does, buy one in every color. Boring and frustrating. I'm looking forward to shopping for clothes that I like...not just clothes that fit.
  9. Glad you found something to help! I have no discomfort or feeling like I have to go...it's weird, but I guess not much there. I'll run it by my doc tomorrow at my checkup.
  10. I still haven't had a bowl movement. Anyone else? At the hospital, they said I had good bowl sounds and have been passing some gas, just no bowl movement. I was on a two week pre-op diet of protien shakes and one 300 calorie meal. Two days before surgery I had to clean everything out by taking the laxative, magnesium citrate. Since then I've been on clear fluids, so I just figure there is nothing there to come out, but just wondering if anyone else is the same way.
  11. Hi all! I was sleeved May 20th in South Jersey. I'm feeling pretty good. I have to be on a clear liquid diet until my checkup on Tuesday. I'm still working on getting that gas moving and as of last night I have a coating on my tongue and a metallic taste in my mouth. I'm thinking ketosis?
  12. Hello! I'm new here! I was just sleeved on May 20th in South Jersey. I'm feeling pretty good and excited to start this new part of my life.
  13. I've been trying to take little sips all day and I know that I'm not getting in all that I should, but I'm doing better every day. Sometimes I do get a gassy feeling when I take a drink...even if it's not a real big sip. I keep thinking it's related to the gas from the surgery. As of last night, I started getting a weird metallic taste in my mouth. Today I noticed that my tongue has a grey-ish coating on it as well. It's making all my fluids taste horrible. I think it must be ketosis?
  14. Hello! I'm new here! I was sleeved on May 20th in South Jersey. I had to stay and extra day in the hospital due to nausea. I was happy to get discharged and get out of that hospital bed. For me, the gas pain was way worse then I expected and worse then the actual surgical sites. I'm still burping and can feel gas pockets. I'm really looking forward to getting over that. I have a drain that will be removed on my first checkup appointment this Tuesday. It doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I am on a clear liquid diet currently as well. The doc should allow me to switch to full liquids at my appointment. I am surprised that I don't really feel hungry. I can feel that my stomach is empty and growling and I think about how I would like to eat, but don't feel that manic drive to need to eat like I've always had. Hallelujah!
