QUICK, EASY & HEALTHY Meals!
I have a recipe to share... Southwest Chicken In 2 Tbs. olive oil brown 4-6 skinless chicken breasts cut in pieces, sprinkle with plenty of cummin, continue to simmer for 10-to 15 min. then add one jar of chunky salsa (med or hot) simmer chicken in salsa for 30-40 minutes or until done to your taste. Remove chicken pcs, leaving as much salsa in the pan as possible. Add 1/2 to one container lowfat or nonfat sour cream to salsa to make a creamy sauce. Heat on med until hot and put over chicken. I like to serve this dish with spanish rice and refried beans.

Restriction luck
Jenna, I had the same problem with having no restriction after the swelling went down. I found it very hard to eat small portions and did gain back some of the weight I lost right after surgery, however after two fills I now have some restriction and am on my way, I have lost the weight I gained back plus sixteen. it is very discouraging in the pre fill stage, you are not a failure, your band is just not at work yet. You will do just fine once you get your fills. Kim

No Problems Man
I have just had my second fill and have restriction now ! It feels great to leave food on the plate because you are full. It is amazing to look back such a short time ago and think about the amounts of food I consumed in a day, when dieting!!

How much did you lose before your first fill?
I just went yesterday for my second fill, I was at 1cc and now have 2cc, I am not sure yet how much restriction I have from this fill, but while in the office I met a lady who was there to have fill taken out after a year because she had lost too much weight!! I am talking she is a size 4 she told me that she just had to have some removed to maintain the weight she has so she does not get too small. It was very encouraging, she looks like one of those girls that can eat anything and still be a size 2. She said she has trouble with meat but can eat most everything else and even the occasional ice cream.

Michigan Bandsters
Stacy, I know that the two weeks on clear liquids seem like forever, but it goes by quickly, I just kept thinking it would not be too long and I would be able to have full liquids. my life saver was yogurt, I thinned it down a little and it went down great. I also liked the yogurt smoothie's you can even buy them in small bottles if you need to take them along with you. As soon as you are able to have mushie foods you will not have the hunger problem. (cream of wheat never tasted so good)! Kim

Michigan Bandsters
Hello everyone, I am also in Michigan. I was banded January 7, 2005 in port huron, Dr. Behsania is my surgeon. Very happy so far. I go for my first fill on Monday, I can hardly wait. I am hoping I will be able to lose after the fill. It has kind of stalled over the last few weeks. Kim
