  1. Hi Laura, I'm 6 weeks post-op and in the first week of solids I had the exact same thing happen where I ate a helluva lot more than I believed I could, then other days I could barely get a few bites down per meal! According to my NUT it seems that when u really chew the food thoroughly u can eat more of it and in the first few months the stomach is still adjusting to it's new size so it takes some time for the earlier than usual stretching of a full stomach to register Good luck!!
  2. Have you been taking any proton pump inhibitors or antacids after the surgery?
  3. I'm 3 weeks post-op and just couldn't resist a few sips of diet coke yesterday. It went down fine but I spent the next 3 hours burping like crazy! It put me off a little but I know when I strongly crave it again I'll suffer through the burping
  4. I'm also 3 days post-op, and had the same thing happen. I vomited an acidic fluid with reddish-brown specks, even though I've only been on clear fluids all day. Was yours anything like that? I'm also unbelievable bloated still, it seems worse than yesterday :S
  5. Hi everyone I had my surgery May 21st, and was sent home yesterday. Have been drinking Water and juices since yesterday, but can't seem to drink enough. Also using a straw which helps tremendously, and have been walking while drinking which helps a little. Now I've been burping like crazy, but not passing any gas at all (sorry, tmi I know!!), does anyone have any tips on how I can 'push' that along? And also, early this morning I choked on some water and ended up vomiting some really acidic Fluid with reddish-brown flecks in it, after which I felt much better! Has anyone had that happen? Ok good luck everyone! I can't explain how much I love this forum
