  1. Wow!! Awesome work!!! 140 lbs in 9 months is amazing!!! I am 3 months out and was hoping for 100 lbs by 9 months. Did you stick with the program the whole time? How was your exercising with the low calorie amounts? I am right now working out 4 to 6 days a week depending on my energy level. I work out around 30 to 60 mins each time- elliptical, treadmill, bicycle. And just started with a personal trainer for strength and circuits. I have noticed that on my longer days of working out (more calories burned) I am hungry all day and I feel better when I add a little more carbs into the day. I am suppose to be on only protein, eggs and cheese still. I really don't see it as going against the program but as for my surgeon it is cause they don't want me eating carbs until after i lose 75% of my excess body weight. I know every surgeons program is different. I am not by any means eating fried foods or white carbs I have had issues with dumping from 2 things (coffee and cookie) so far and so fried foods and white rice scare me cause i can only imagine how I will react.
  2. Thanks everyone, I had my first session today and really enjoyed it. I really love my trainer- he is real and experienced. I love that he incorporates boxing into the sessions. I love getting that extra stress out into the my punches. Sweated crazy and felt awesome. I will be doing this until February. So looking forward to it. And it excites me to see how I progress.
  3. Everyone is looking good!!! I try really hard to get on here everyday but its hard and by the time I do theres a ton of post and I can't catch up.... Well for me this week has been a little slow but I did sign up with a personal trainer at my gym this week and have been doing a bit more strength training and circuits so it is really hard to even put that into miles. Today I did do 2 miles on elliptical and treadmill. So total is 36 miles , I would like to be to 50 by next week this time. I can do it!!! Everyone keep up the great work!! This group is an inspiration to me and has really motivated me to be the best I can be!!!!
  4. Hey everyone , had a few off days but got back on the saddle today. 5 miles today putting me at 34 miles for the month!

I already have some sagging skin and I want to try and tone those areas now so to hopefully eliminate too much sag! I have been working out consistently since surgery I am up to 6 days a week at least 30 mins a day all cardio and wanted to add a bit of variety an get strength and flexibility workouts in too!! Any suggestions or advise welcome!!!!

  25. On Sunday 9/22 I will be celebrating my 2 month Surgeriversery!!! I weighed in today at 252 which is 31 pounds lost since Surgery. Also a ton of inches!!! I have been extremely happy with my sleeve. I have had one episode of dumping since surgery and that was a day i was bad and got over 65 grams of carbs. My sleeve hated me that day. I am still on the meat, cheese and eggs and next week I can start adding 1/2 cup of veggies to one meal a day. I am a little scared to see how my sleeve will handle it but I am hoping for the best. I am so excited to have asparagus , cauliflower and brocolli!!! I know we aren't likely to have a dumping issue but I am positive that it was one, I was shaky, sweaty and weak. It passed with in a 1/2 hour. I hadn't had that many carbs in one day since months before surgery. Believe me I will not be having anything that isn't on my doctors approved list anymore. I was glad to have had something like that happen because it has put me back on my path. We all have times we mess up and it is what we learn from it that matters. I started Zumba on Friday nights and love it!!! My new love! I have been walking mainly since surgery so it is so nice to switch it up a little. I haven't gone shopping yet for anything but I do know I need smaller underwear!! LOL I just don't want to go out and shop and then have to shop again a month later so i have been wearing baggy clothes. I did find some old clothes of mine that now fit me that I will be wearing for a while.
