Alright, so it's 7:31am here right now and the doctor on staff today told me I'll be getting discharged today around 9ish. To be completely honest......what a relief lol! The staff here was great and all and the took care of me like you wouldn't believe but I just don't do well in hospitals lol. Gotta get out and see me some Tijuana! Just waiting on the doc to come and take out my drain.

NP....and just letting you know your in good hands! I promise. Oh and DEFINITELY do yourself a huge favour and ask for Nissi the moment you get to the hotel! Ask your coordinator to give you Nissi's number and get you in contact with her. She is a saint, and comes in to check on me every few hours....even if I'm asleep! She also really made it a breeze for my mom to re-cross the border to go get a rent a car to see LA and stuff....and had the driver prick her up and bring her back on time too......she arranged everything perfectly! Good luck!

I get almost lightheaded when I'm TRULY hungry. The difference between true hunger and mental hunger for me has always been the fact that I feel like if I don't get something to eat right now I'm going to throw up or faint or something. My stomach growls for long growls at intervals. When it's mental hunger I don't feel this way at all, I have to question myself whether I am really hungry or not. The way I see it, when it's real hunger, YOU'LL KNOW! You won't need to ask the question...you'll just go and get something to eat. Period. When it's not, you'll be arguing back and fourth. Cause your body knows your not hungry, so it isn't sending you the proper signals...which your brain certainly picks up on, I mean the lack of signals that is......but the mental hunger part of your brain will tell you otherwise. Go with the signs.

Oh and p.s......no nausea! Lucky me!

Finally can use my laptop......sorry for such a super late update guys, but I went straight into surgery immediately following my last post on here. Surgery was a cinch as far as I know lol. They had me lie down on the surgery bed and put some anesthesia in and told me I'd be feeling very sleepy gradually and to just flow with it....I honestly remember nothing but that. I assume it must have been hilarious for the staff to see me talking (can't keep my mouth shut for the life of me...lol) and then just suddenly bam....knocked out mutha luvvaaaa lol! Recovery wasn't too bad either. Not too much pain, just some discomfort....and not even that was too bad. Was butterflies and lolly pops compared to bein induced for labour let me tell ya! And was fairyland compared to epidural! YIKES! Just never do it girls....just dont! So I'm lying on my bed in my room again, was having a difficult time getting up....am still pretty sleepy. I wanted to update on here and make some after procedure vids for my vlog too but I just got comfortable enough to use my laptop in a laying position. As far as pains and discomforts go, I'll have more details in my blog....but I will just say that my shoulder is THE WORST!!! Arrrghhh....it hurts so bad. But only when it spasms. Dr. Garcia said it's myalgia from the drain tube. However that works. Will update later once we get discharged and go back to the Marriott. Oh....almost forgot. Sipping my first bit of gatorade for the first time post surgery. Not too bad, but honestly they had to bring it to me.....wasn't in the mood to ingest a single thing....still. I came to in my room around 6ish, and had left around 4:20pm. So yeah, not too bad at all!

Ok, so I'm officially admitted to Mi Doctor. Sitting on my bed, in my room right now! Waiting for the nurse to come do my EKG! !!! So excited I might explode! HAHA! Anyways....just got my blood pressure taken. And ever since I got to MX I've been dealing with Nissi......ATTN: EVERYONE ASK FOR THIS GIRL! SHE IS UH-FRIGGIN-MAZINGGGGGG! Girl gets it done I tell ya! And she's quick as heck! Not to mention she runs the place and people here like a boss!!!! She'll do everything and MORE in her power to make sure you feel uber comfortable....or fall head over heals in love with her, and leave your spouse/partner.....one of the two ! - Nurse just walked in. Ok, back, just got my EKG done. Was a breeze.....first time....is it bad I was thinking copious amounts of electricity were supposed to flow out of those probes and teach my left breast how to dougie..... - Another nurse just walked in. Yes so, just got my bloodwork done. Essentially pain free! Several unidentified solar systems better regarding pain level!!!! - Hold on...EKG nurse just walked in...lol. Okay....THAT was an owie...waah. . Just got the IV. The female nurse was having a super hard time finding a good vein (My veins ALWAYS end up FAILING me like this LOL). She kept on pulling it back, and shoving it in again.....several rounds of this and the mail nurse who was initially supposed to do my EKG (but Nissi the absolute angel felt I'd be more comfy having a female err...deal with that...situation. lol...she was so right ) magically walked in and asked me if I'd be ok with letting him have a try. I didn't feel a single thing when he did it....he also took his time finding my good vein and coercing that sneaky little b*tch out. He rocks.....U.S nurses should learn from this guy....no ish! - One sec...A doctor just walked in. Ok, so yeah. A staff doc just let me know my bloodwork and ekg look picture perfect and I'll be having the surgery in approximately an hour and a half! WOOHOOOOO! Can't wait!

I know you're right....it was my coordinators mistake that she didn't give the correct contact number to the driver.....not the doctors...or the drivers either. But still......that was real sucky....to say the least lol. anywho....I'm off to bed.....boy I'm bushed!

Phew! My goodness THAT was a hassle!!! I waited for AGES (my flight arrived at 10:23am and the driver came round at 1:00pm!!!) and all sorts of thoughts were going through my mind! My driver FINALLY got my number from Cyrel (which I sent 3-4 different times in email) and decided to call me! Despite my spending 12 something dollars per minute to call the guys two mexican numbers and get sent to voicemail...he says he never got a single call......yet I wI'll most probably sure as day get the bill won't I! My mother was furious! CAn't lie...so was I. Still sort of am. That is absolutely NOT the type of service we were expecting to get. I honestly felt like something really bad was happening how no one was picking up my calls, and I had 6 different numbers to call! Definitely NOT the start of a good review vlog for the company....;(. But on the bright side......I feel so loved you guys!!! I love you SerendipityHappens! I freakin' love you all! Thanks so much you guys came running to help! I really don't think I've ever felt so much love! . You all rock! *sniff*

I'm thinking a thousand differenct things by now, it's been 2+ hours. None of the number I call are working for the driver, plus they are Mexico numbers. Also, the numbers I have for medicaltourismco are not working. Not the 1800 one or the other. 214-556-3524 or 1-800-661-2126 ext. 102 Nor the ones from the site at Cabrera. I am freaking out!

It tasted UH-MAZING!!!! lol. There are pretty much no carbs in it as the egg noodles were thrown out. I'm sure there are at least a few, but hardly anymore than 8g, if at all. Otherwise, there is no sugar....I just worry about all that soy lecithin!!!! Either way.....I'm transferring to home made broth/stock post-op from the bouillon variety (there's no Protein....wtfudge). Gonna go make some and freeze it in cup sizes for that exact use today. I have 4 quarts of the good stuff on the freeze but.......it isn't portioned so it's pretty unrealistic to try and unfreeze that, unless I'm making a large batch of something. That's actually what I'm saving it for. Anywho....first day of pre-op diet today. So far I've had (last night after 12am) 1 Premier Protein, a whole cucumber in lemon and some spicy chat masala goodness (Punjabi's in the house? ), and (this morning for breakfast) 1 1/2 cup of broth with the ramen noodle shrimp flavored sachet, and 1 scoop unflavored unjury! MAN that ish was gooooooooood! LOL. Haven't been too hungry honestly. Just the normal "mmm...that looks good, can't have it" mentality kicking in LOL. Even things I normally wouldn't care for are looking good now I know I've got three days of nothing but broth and Protein shakes. But honestly, if it stays this way it'll be a cinch. It's hunger that I can't handle.........no mental hunger really phases me anymore. However....I think that was my last experiment with ramen noodle flavor sachets lol. I don't want a little thing like that possibly causing issues with my surgery because of all those "unknown" ingredients.....

Thanks a bunch! That really clears it up! However.....strange how some people are scheduled with the same doctor set as myself and staying at the Marriott. Hmmm....think I'll email my coordinator about it and see if we can get it changed lol. I'll pay the difference if it's under $50 lol.

I think I saw a few posts here and there regarding this. It's just that I am booked with these doctors but am staying at some local hotel instead. Was wondering if this was the case with everyone or it was just me. Also....I'm a bit confused about who this Dr. Garcia is exactly? Because loads of people call my surgeon Dr. Cabrera/Garcia too......so when I see Dr. Garcia I get confused lol.

Booked through this company. Coordinator is Cyrel, like many it seems! Will be having surgery on the 25th, and will be arriving to TJ on the 24th. Was just wondering where everyone will be staying at? Just curious why loads of other people going to Mi Doctor through other companies are getting the Marriot but still paying the same....so strange lol.

Heya! July 25th for me! I'll be there at the hospital/hotel on the 24th though! btw, just wondering....which hotel are you going to be staying at? All of you guys are so lucky you're staying at the marriot! Totally unfair lol. I think patients of Dr. Cabrera and Valenzuela are staying at some ghetto one lol. Darn!

Well, you need more water. You may be slightly dehydrated which could explain the headaches. Also, your protein is incredibly low. My protein drink alone has 32 gm's in it, and that is just one. By 15 weeks post op you really need to get that protein in now that you can! You are under the recommendations at just 45g a day. Also, have you considered a certain type of food you may be eating causing your headaches? I know that nightshades or eating more carbs or starches than protein can do it for some people, it's almost autoimmune. Good luck, and stay well!
