  1. I'd meet you girls for a hike!
  2. I think I'd actually enjoy being out hiking vs stuck in a stuffy gym!
  3. Good luck today! Sending you good energy
  4. Wow! Good luck! It's definitely ALL worth it! Hopefully Friday goes great and you recover perfectly. What are you stats if you don't mind me asking?
  5. Woo hoo hot stuff! Looking great! Congrats on your success!
  6. Long Beach isn't far either! I'm by no means a runner. Although I'd like to start tackling some good hikes... My trainer would make me do lots of sprints. They are short distance, intense runs but left you feeling like you could kick some a$$! Maybe running is in our futures!
  7. I'm in La Mirada! Not too far. Do you have a gym membership anywhere? I'm currently shipping around for one. I'm really liking Golds Gym in Fullerton so far. It's super nice and clean and doesn't have that super crowded feel that the larger gyms have
  8. Hi everyone! I am almost 3 months postop and I just recently stopped going to my personal trainer. It gets expensive after a while and I realized that throughout my journey with him, since before I had my surgery, I've learned a lot to be able to sustain myself as much as possible in a gym or working out on my own. Problem is, I'm super lazy still :'( I'm looking for a workout partner. Anybody in Southern California near the Orange County area? I think working out with someone that knows where I'm coming from would be easier than working out with a bunch of meat heads gearing up for a fitness competition. I'm easily intimidated by all the "professionals" in the gym setting.
  9. Hopefully someone answers because I came on here to find out too feel better
  10. First of all' date=' your doing great! I wish I was at 173!!! We're pretty much in the same boat. I'm 5 foot nothing and my bmi was, at my highest, 45.
  11. Wow you're doing awesome! I remember you hated life a couple days out of surgery and look how great you've done!
  12. Please don't get depressed! Depression slows down weight loss also
  13. I feel like I've been at a stall since three weeks post op haha. I've also been at a stall for about a month. How are you feeling?
  14. How often is everyone exercising?
  15. Thank you! I know I should be ecstatic with my progress and shouldn't compare my journey with anyone else's. it's just a little discouraging when I see people losing 40-50+ pounds. Thank you for the encouragement!!!
