  1. My surgery is September 28th in TJ Mexico with Dr. Garcia. I am very excited!! Anyone else?
  2. Wow. You look great!!! Did you work out?
  3. I am so excited. I am Finally scheduled to have the sleeve! I have been on this board for months and I am finally pulling the trigger! I am so excited. Scared of course. I am Going to Mexico by myself and I am okay with that. Anyone else going on that day?
  4. I was suppose to have surgery in July and delayed because my boss asked me to so that I could work that month. I am A little resentful to be honest. I have another window in early October but would need to be back at it working 3 weeks after surgery. I travel by car and am in sales. I know I can't lift heavy items and I think I have all that worked out. How was everyone feeling 3 weeks after surgery. Do you feel you could been working, driving 4/6 hours. Ect. Ect. Any feedback would be so appreciated.
  5. My heart breaks for you!! I hope you recover soon and you can enjoy your weight loss!!! Keep us posted. I am having the surgery and fear a leak. How was your discovered? Again, best wishes.
  6. Thank you all for the input. Looking up food that I like with a lot of protein!!!
  7. Planning to have the surgery!!! Yeah!!! I want to feel healthy with energy post op!!! I have no choice but to work and I travel for work and require lots of energy. How many grams of Protein is required after surgery??? Can anyone give me some suggestions
  8. Newcoco, I am not sure if you read through all the posts. Rox did not have heart issues. She had an undected/ misdiagnosed leak and was released. Doctor was told and was going out if town. She became septic and passed away. This could have been avoided
  9. Thank you so much for your story!!! I am Definatly looking forward to a life change
  10. You look fantastic. One of the best transformations yet!!!! Did you work out after. I will get a tummy tuck if mead be but of course I would like to work out to see if I can get rid of excess skin. I there is no way my tummy will look as good as yours without one.
  11. As I am in my final stages of choosing Doctor in Mexico I can't help but get cold feet a little. I have no doubt that thus surgery is for me and will change my life Has anyone had the sleeve over a year ago? Here are my questions...... Has anyone passed all the leak tests and later on found they had a leak? Can you really eat anything you want after your stomach heals but in very small portions. I want to change my eating habits. I need to. I would just hate to miss out on eating small portions of good food on e in awhile. Vacations ect. I am a foodie. Does anyone feel after one year that they made a mistake? Please! I want to hear it all. Good and bad. Thank you!!!
  12. I am planning to have Surgery in Mexico. I still have not decided on Doctor. What is the average time spent in Mexico between hotel and hospital stay. Thanks
  13. I am the original poster. I just read about it on Another forum. I posted here to gain knowledge. I do not have Doctor picked out yet. Still planning to go to Mexico.
  14. I started this thread to gain information about what happened because I am planning to Jane this surgery in MX. I did not name the Doctor but the doctor was named on The other site. I would never want to put false info out there. In this case I felt I should say what I knew and how. I find it extremely sad that Rox passed like this and suffered. If what was said is true then it should exposed. My biggest fear is not dying on the table. I am Christian and if it is my time then I am okay with that. My fear is leakage. I am so concerned about staples not working or not holding up long term. I have not chosen a Doctor in Mexico yet but my biggest criteria is one with a full service hospital that can Handle an emergency and a Doctor there around the clock. My prayers are with Rox family, friends and forum friends who conversed with her. This is a terrible loss
  15. The Doctors name is Dr. Aceves. Again, I heard this from a credible person but have no substantiated this myself.
  16. I do agree however I like to know all facts. I know there ate risks and I am Willing to roll dice but I still would like to know all facts. Several recent deaths does concern me and I would like to know more. Not for nothing, I would like to say a prayer. Thank you for suggestion. It is a good one
  17. Welcome. I am not gay but gay friendly and love my gay friends.
  18. Hi Laura Ven, I read about a woman named Roxanne. I truly hate to mention Doctor. Of course there is a risk. I Do not wish to harm someone's reputation. You said a few in the past weeks. Wow. Do you know the details ?
  19. Gamergirl, I just want to know if anyone is aware that a woman died 2 weeks ago after the surgery in Mexico. Gastric sleeve.com has a thread on it. I tend to read this one more. I am planning to have surgery in Mexico and would like to know all facts. The good, bad and ugly.
  20. I totally agree but I am curious if this is true
  21. I am on another forum for bariatric surgery. I saw a few posts about a person dying after/during surgery but there was no details. I would rather not mention the doctor. We all know there is risk in surgery. Any surgery. I just wanted to know if this is for sure true and what was the cause. Regardless I am having mine
  22. Thank you all for responding. I know myself and turning to alcohol is not a potentional problem. I can live without certain foods but I like to have drinks once in awhile. So from what I understand aside from calories and not loosing weight, the sleeve is not affected from occasional social drinking.
  23. Hello, I wanted to ask about the rules and experiences with people who are sleeved and drinking alcohol. I am planning to get sleeved. I am a social drinker and drink about 2-3 times a month and typically drink 4 glasses of wine or 3 to 4 cocktails. I understand alcohol is empty calories. Could drinking alcohol on occasion hurt the sleeve? How long until after you ate sleeved can you drink? Thanks!!!
  24. Hello. Can you ladies tell me what the pre-op and post- op diets are for Dr.Kelly and Dr. Lopez. Thanks
