  3. Do you have a drain? The drain caused all my pain and cramping, I couldn't walk breathe or sleep.
  4. If you have a drain, the pressure from that can cause cramping and pain. I had 3 days of horrible pain, I could not walk, breath or sleep, when I called my surgeons service, they said to not to remove the air from the drain. That gave me almost immediate relief. I was ecstatic when I had it removed, although that also caused pain because it had migrated. Hope you feel better soon!

  6. Greetings!! I am 3.5 weeks post op. Like most of us I struggle to make sure I get my protein and water in for the day, but each day it's getting easier. The one thing that is an issue for me is breakfast. I usually eat some egg whites, low fat string cheese and 1 turkey sausage patty, this morning I had low-fat cottage cheese and a half a pear. For about an hour after I eat, I'm light headed and nauseous. Once that feeling passes the rest of the day is good. I've tried some Protein Plus Special K, but that was even worse, had to lay down. I'm pretty sure that I'm eating slow and not too much, my stomach doesn't feel heavy and I don't have the food backing up. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  8. No, it's not silly. You will eventually be able to enjoy your favorites again, in moderation, at a later date. For now try and concentrate on doing the best you can pre-op, so that you will have the best outcome! Best of luck to you!
  9. Hi, I was banded in 09 and never was able to get good restriction or find the "sweet spot". Then last summer the band slipped and I was approved for band removal. I've been researching the sleeve and approached my doctor to remove the band and then sleeve. My surgeon will not do the removal and sleeve in one surgery and I was very disappointed he would not do it in one surgery and required at least 3 months healing. The band was removed in Sept 2012 and I was sleeved on May 21, 2013. He told me he was very glad he waited, because the scar tissue from the band was no longer an issue and he was successful in preforming the sleeve. Be patient, it's better to wait and have good results then hurry and have complications that can last for months.
  10. I had my band out in September, my surgeon will not do a removal and sleeve in one, and will be sleeved on Tuesday (5/21). He is having me do a pre-op for 11 days, to shrink the liver a little more.

  12. True Lemon is not as sweet as Crystal Light and is sweetened with Stevia. They also have a raspberry lemonade flavor also. Please try and stay away from aspartame and sucralose.
