Does your liquid intake increase further out?
I am blessed to be able to drink almost as much as I was pre-op. Everyone has different tolerances however. Be optimistic...you'll do just fine!

I am hungry!
Ditto what Webchickadee said...more than likely excess stomach acid. Once I started taking omeprazole, it made a world of difference! Hang in there.

Starting my pre op liquid diet on Tuesday and I'm so scared!
Unfortunately, no easy way to do it...but you CAN do it! Minor obstacle for a much larger prize...and a much happier you! Just keep your eyes on your goal and try to keep busy. Every time you think about eating, go for a walk or some other activity to keep your mind busy. Good luck!

Before and during pics lol
Awesome!

floating in a swimming pool?
Dr. told me to wait four weeks. Last thing you would want to do is get your incisions infected. "ummm... Yes we can float we're fat" LMAO! Too funny.

Just Cardio?
I started doing cardio at 4 weeks (biking, walking and swimming) and my doctor gave me the okay to add weights at 6 weeks ( moderate weight, no power lifting! LOL). I'm 8 weeks and 47 lbs. down...haven't had any problems yet.

3 months post-op pics
Awesome progress! Very inspirational to those of us just starting the journey (I'm six weeks post op and pray to have similar results!).

sleeved 6/17 why am I not losing WTF
Ditto what everyone else said...give your body time to heal. I only lost a pound the first week, 3 the second week, but after 6 weeks I'm down 46 lbs. It'll happen, just give it time and follow doctor's orders.

3 Months, 1 week out. Pics!
Awesome progress!

When can you eat fresh veggies? What about corn?
I was cleared to eat salads and all veggies Thursday (6 weeks post op). Eating a salad as I type...romaine, kalamata olives (finely chopped), low fat shredded mozzarella and vinegar/oil...so far so good.

Awesome idea!

omg omg omg
It's going to be fine...I have no doubt you have an angel watching over you. I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers heading your way for a successful surgery, quick recovery and fantastic results!

Anyone try these?
I tried them early on...not the best tasting stuff! Ended up chilling them and just chugging it...too nasty to sip. Nut suggested Premier Protein from Sam's...a little more volume, but about the same price and much more palatable.

Liquids with meals.
Ditto what GypsyQueen said...remove the glass prior to eating. Takes some getting used to, but it'll get easier with time. Oh yeah...Geaux Tigers!

Incision Question
The outer incisions are barely noticeable, however the one near my belly button was the same as you described. I'm 6 weeks post op and it is fine now...was really tender up until last week or so.

Feeling completely normal..not really a good thing...
The fluid intake had me worried as well...I was able to drink quite a bit as soon as 3 days post op and still have no problem drinking (not guzzling, but more than enough to satisfy). My doctor said some people could tolerate fluids well, others had to sip, sip, sip (Thank God I'm able to drink okay! Love the outdoors, staying hydrated was a major pre op concern for me.) I was sleeved May 8th and finally able to add flaky fish today...we baked some redfish filets. Tolerated it fine, but I made the mistake of eating two pieces (probably no more than 8 oz. total)...really uncomfortable feeling for an hour or so afterward! As tigerbelle said, you really should consult with your nutritionist. Will keep you in our prayers.

8 months post op
Congratulations!

New Orleans eating out
ACME Oyster House on Iberville Street (Not sure if they are sleeve-friendly at 7 weeks, but the char-broiled oysters are awesome!) or The Gumbo Shop on St. Peters (you can order w/o rice). Unfortunately, food in N.O. is great, hence part of reason I'm 5 weeks post-op (other part is no self control!). LOL

Post op!
WTG! Congrats!

Going crazy
I had no problems with fluids and actually got quite concerned as well. Based on what I've read and speaking with my doctor, some folks have issues, others do not...guess we're blessed! I'm only 18 days post-op, but have not had any issues with fluids. I'll caution you though, when you can eat dense/mushy foods, do so slowly...I made the mistake of eating green pea soup too quickly, ugh...not a good feeling!

No weight loss
Had the same thing...don't worry about it, just fluid from surgery. Hang in there, the first few days will be a distant memory! After not losing for the first few days, I'm down 32 lbs. in 18 days.
