  1. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out of surgery. I won't attempt jeans yet!!! I was able to wear a sports bra comfortably about a week after surgery!! And a regular bra I just started wearing about 2 weeks out!
  2. The balsamic and raspberry are my favorites!! I discovered the walden farms brand a couple years ago when I did a medical weight loss program. I used their dressings even after I stopped the diet. I would marinate my chicken and steak in the dressings as well as use it on my salads!! I did not care at all for the creamy ones!! And I love creamy salad dressings!! I also like the BBQ sauces. Great for grilling season!!! I have not tried any of the syrups or fruit spreads...
  3. I like Walden Farms dressings and BBQ sauces!! Fat free calorie free gluten free carb free!!! The Italian, balsamic vinegarette and raspberry vinegarette are my faves. I didn't care for the creamy ones like ranch and creamy Italian. They also have different flavored BBQ sauces. I like them all. I marinate my chicken in any of the dressings as well as use it on my salads!!
  4. I told my mom and my aunt a few friends and a couple coworkers. The only person I "hid" it from was my sister. I know how she feels about this and I just didn't want that frustration on my shoulders. I told her the night before I was going in to surgery. She hasn't spoken to me since.. I was sleeved on April 16... Everyone else that's knows or has found out since has been so super supportive!! I am grateful for them.. Miss my sister tho.. I hope she comes around soon...
  5. That's awesome!! I'm 2 weeks post op but have my first 5k goal for September 21!! I started training for it before surgery!! I'm up to walking 3 miles at a time now!!
  6. I'm going to check it out. Walmart is right down the hill from me so I walk there to get my walking exercise in without being stuck on a treadmill at the gym!!! Before surgery I would usually drive there!!! If its tuna like texture I can deal with that! But like you guys not much more puréed than that!!!
  7. I was staying at my moms for a few days after surgery so she can help me with my son. Sitting there watching everyone eat some of my favorite foods was the worst!!!! Even though I'm not physically hungry I feel mentally deprived and unsatisfied.. That's the hardest part!!! I keep myself as busy as I can. I go out for long walks or go shopping (I'm going on a cruise in a couple weeks) so I'm preparing for that as well... I wish you the best of luck on your journey!!
  8. That's awesome!!!!!!! Congratulations and best of luck on your continued journey!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
  9. Thanks for the suggestions!!! They sound yummy! What about the texture tho? I think that's what scares me about puréed food!! Lol.. Chicken in a can? Is that like tuna? I'm not sure I've ever seen it.. Btw I forgot to add my email address so I can be added to the group.. Riss523@aol.com
  10. I'd like to be added to the fb group.. I was sleeved on April 16!! Just started on puréed foods!! I'm having trouble with this stage.. I'm really still only doing protein shakes and I've added Greek yogurt!!! What is everyone doing for puréed? The thought of puréed chicken kinda turns my stomach!!
  11. Wow!!! Why are you on liquids for so long?? Curious as to why your doctor said no broth.. I really like the wylers sugar free lemonade and sugar free raspberry ice pops!!! I also make my own with the Protein shakes I buy!! Best of luck on your journey!!! :-)
  12. I soooo agree with you!!! The mental part of this is so much harder than I ever could have imagined!!! I'm 2 weeks out of surgery. It's getting a little easier each day, as long as I keep myself busy!!! Keep my mind occupied! I'm so thankful that this app was recommended to me! I now know that I'm not the only one that regretted doing this! But watching the numbers on the scale go down reminds me why I did it!!!
  13. Nutmeg state nutrition has really yummy protein shakes!! Pink lemonade, kiwi strawberry, etc.. Tastes like juice!! If there's not a store near you, you can always order it online thru them!! They also sell pb2 and tons of high protein snacks! Check them out!!
  14. Congrats!!! It was nice meeting you in class today!!! Good luck with everything!!! :-)
