I to had a leak-scariest thing for me was the weight gain. I felt so helpless. Turns out I needed to have my port replaced. Surgery was a breeze, nothing like the lapband surgery itself. Almost no healing time. Things will be fine before you know it and you will start losing again.

just a note to inform you guys that i did not have my plastic surgery afterall. With having to pay for tests and lab work, and having a port revision done, the money just wasn't there anymore. Maybe next year. I hope anyway. It is a bummer but i believe that everything happens for a reason. Its just not my turn yet, but it will be. I have gained about 5 lbs. And i go in for a fill tomorrow, so hopefully i will start losing again. Thanks to all of you that wished me well. I wish i had done this earlier, but was just a little depressed.

well, we are holding off on surgery for now since i am still feeling restriction. I hope i don't have to have it done, but i still don't have an answer as to why this has happened.

not sure what is going on, but this is the most restricted i have ever been. I called doc's office today and should get an answer tomorrow as to what my next move will be. I am scheduled for surgery on monday, but hell if i don't need it i definitely don't want it. I didn't think about my stomach being irritated, but i guess it can be. I have no explanation for this. He filled me twice before, and when he went back in, nothing came back, no fluid whatsoever. Now he gave me 4cc's again and i am feeling restriction, i am sooo confused.

well, Looks Like I Will Be Having My Port Replaced Next Monday. When He Stuck Me With The Needle, Nothing Came Back. Funny Thing Is, Since Coming Home I Can't Seem To Keep Too Much Down. What Is Up With This. I Had Some Wheat Thins, And I Could Not Hold Them Down. I Feel Some Restriction. I Wonder For How Long Though. Anyway, Surgery On Monday.

thanks. I Had My Esophagus Checked And Everything Came Out Normal. There Were No Erosions Or Anything To The Lapband. The Baruim Swallow Also Showed The Band To Not Be Too Tight. He Filled Me Up To 4 Cc's And Still No Restriction. He Thinks The Port May Need To Be Replaced. I Go Back On Monday And He Is Going To See How Much Of The Fill Comes Out If Any. I Know There Is A Leak Somewhere. There Is Just Absolutely No Restriction At All. Luckily I Have Only Gained Back About 3 Lbs. I Will Report Back On Monday. Wish Me Luck Guys.

if You Don't Mind Me Asking, Other Than The Sensitivity To Fills And Such, Were There Any Other Symptoms, Pain Or Anything?

doc Wants Me To Have My Esophagus Tested, And Also Do A Barium Swallow. His Nurse Says He Wants To Make Sure There Is No Erosion. I Was Filled Lastweek To 4cc's. From The Time I Left His Office, All Restriction Was Gone. I Have Been Able To Eat Everything. All The Things I Could Not Eat Before, I Am Eating. Will Somebody Please Ease My Mind. They Are Making Calls To Set Appts. For Me To Have These Tests Done, And Meanwhile I Have Already Gained 3-4 Lbs. I Have To Wait And Call Them On Thursday To See What Is Going On. Could There Be A Different Reason That This Is Happening. Where Did My Restriction Go? I Want It Back In A Major Way.

okay so i went for a fill last week, and doc says i am at 4ccs in my 4cc band. well since this fill i have been able to eat everything including bread, chicken, hamburgers, and everything else. all of the things i couldn't eat before, i am now able to eat and in large quantities. i also get hungry right away after having a meal. what could have happened. i am terrified, and have already gained about 3 lbs. i will call doc on monday, but if anyone can tell me something helpful, i would appreciate it.

WENT IN FOR A FILL THIS WEEK, AND ASKED THE DOC ABOUT MY UPCOMING PLASTIC SURGERY. I ASKED HIM IF I NEEDED TO GET UNFILLED. HIS RESPONSE WAS "FOR WHAT REASON?" HE SAID THERE WAS NO REASON FOR IT, AND THAT I WOULD BE FINE. HE SAID THAT IF I GOT AN UNFILL, I WOULD EASILY GAIN BACK ABOUT 20 LBS. SO, I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT I WON'T BE GETTING UNFILLED. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD PS W/OUT THE UNFILL?

Thanks salsa for the support. I work the in school suspension. I am excited for you. It will be here before you know it. I will be on vacation from July 13-20, and than surgery on the 22nd. so I guess my mind will be somewhat occupied as well. That gives me a full day to get my house all cleaned up and stuff. I know what you mean about wanting to look a certain way. I am in a size 12, but still feel like I look more like a 16. I carry all of my fat in my mid section. He will be doing muscle repair as well which I hear causes most of the pain, but also gives the best results. I just wish I could do it sooner, but everything happens for a reason. Thank you guys for the replies. I was starting to think i no longer had support on here. Of course I should know better. Salsa it is great being off in the summer. I will only have about 4-5 weeks of healing before going back to work. I hope its enough. I am sure the time will fly. I am already starting to question whether I am being too selfish. Why can't I just be happy with the weight loss. You know that sort of thing. I am sure I will be on an emotional roller coaster from here on out. I am already stressing about it, but I am also excited as well. Congrats to those of you that have already done it, and to those that are fixing to do it. This has been one exciting journey.

i Have A Date For Surgery!!!! i Am Sooo Excited. I Will Be Having My Tummy Tuck And Breast Lift On July 22, 3 Days After Coming Home From Vacation. He Would Not Do It Before Vacation Because I Will Only Be 6wks. Out And He Says Its Not A Good Idea Considering All The Walking I Would Be Doing. Not To Mention The Fact That I Wouldn't Be Able To Get On Any Of The Rides Or Anything Like That (going To Universal Studios). So He Said He Felt Better If I Got It Done After Vacation. He Knows Whats Best So I Will Be Having It Done In July, And Still Have Enough Healing Time To Make It Back To Work In Late August. I Work For The School District So I Am Off All Summer Long. Anyway, Just Thought I Would Update Any Of You Interested. It Also Gives Me Enough Time To Get Closer To My Goal Weight Of 150. I Am Going For Another Fill Next Week.
