  1. Yes, I also use MFP and I also have an app on my phone...Map My Walk. It is what I use to track my daily totals. You can add each work out, run, walk, bike whatever you do. Check it out. www.mapmywalk.com
  2. Well, I walked 3.69 miles. I am taking a break from the bike tonight but might try some light free weights for the first time since surgery. This puts my total at 104.7 for the month!
  3. Come on in and join us! The more the better! It is very motivating!
  4. Human slug? Does that mean I can call you sluggo?...lol...jk
  5. Looking good buddy! I know you are happy and proud of what you have accomplished. We will have to make sure to keep Laura active.
  6. I also have stalled out for about 2 weeks. I increased my exercise as well as my protein and water and slowly, I have been loosing again. I was holding some fluid as well which caused me to gain a couple pounds but have since lost that and I am now down 2 lbs more than my lowest weight. Day of surgery was 335...3 weeks out 307...stalled and went up to 310...slowly been loosing again and was 305 this morning. That being said, like Indigo said, you will still be loosing inches. Even during my stall, I have dropped 2 pant sizes. So even though you don't see it on the scale, keep the exercise water and protein going because they are making a difference.
  7. I have been wearing the Fitbit Flex for the last 2 weeks and love it. Very easy to use and seems to be very accurate. I looked at several...Jawbone, Nike + and a few others but preferred the Flex. I definitely recommend it.
  8. Hey Butter, I will take care of starting the Oct challenge. We definitely need to keep this going. I agree, it won't be the same without you but we know you will be peaking in for encouragement. I will have to postpone starting the Couch 2 5K as planned. I had planned to start next Monday but on a great news note, my wife will be getting sleeved that morning. We are both excited. I guess I will do my walking laps around the hospital while she is in surgery. Now...time for a walk.
  9. Great job everyone!
  10. I am glad you are feeling better and glad you got a chance to walk today. Don't worry, after this challenge motivated me so much, I am sure it will hang around...I will even start the Oct challenge. Great job...just take it slow.
  11. I figured out how to post pictures...lol Here I am breaking 100 miles...an extremely happy moment for me!
  12. I did a lot of walking today...3.14 miles. I just finished riding the recumbent bike 4.45 miles which put me at 7.59 miles today and a total of....101 miles!! I can't believe I did it and with days to spare!!! My wife took a pic right after I broke 100 miles...lol! I just need to figure out how to post it. Come on everyone...we are in the home stretch!! If I can do it, you can do it. Before my surgery last month, if you told me I would do this I would have laughed at you. Now, exactly 5 weeks to the day post op, I have finished the 100 mile challenge and don't plan on stopping!! Thanks for the motivation everyone!
  13. I got in a 1.2 mile walk today with the wife and then I just finished a 2.51 mile recumbent bike ride. That puts my total at 93.4 miles. I made my goal of 90 miles by Sunday night. I am going to try and break 100 miles by tomorrow night. Great job this weekend everyone. Keep it up.
  14. Just knocked out a 4 mile ride. That puts me at 89.7 miles. About to go do some walking with the wife and then another ride tonight.
  15. You are doing great! Just go at your pace that is comfortable for you. Keep it up and you will get there.
  16. Once again I didn't get in a bike ride today but I did get in 2.67 miles walking. That puts me at 85.7 for the month. My goal for the end of the weekend was 90 miles. I will definitely be riding tomorrow if I want to make that. Great job everyone! We are almost there! Keep up the great work!
  17. Doing great!! Your almost there!
  18. Great job BTB. Definitely a true inspiration!
  19. Thanks...LOL But I am not a girl. I guess I need a better profile pic...lol
  20. No bike ride today, just a 2.56 walk. That puts me at 83 miles even. 17 miles to go. My weekend goal is 90 miles by Sunday night. I got this.
  21. Not sure exactly what's wrong but I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  22. I did the exact same thing the other day. A small tortilla, a slice of turkey deli meat and a slice of swiss cheese. Rolled it and popped it n the microwave for 25 seconds. Tasted awesome!
  23. I will definately keep the water going down! And yes, I hope we put a whoopin on Auburn. I am predicting 52 - 24 LSU.
  24. It seems I may be slowly coming out of my stall. I have increased my water and protein intake as well as changed a couple other eating habits and I have actually been loosing 1 pound each day for the last 3 days. I will take it! I am now back down to my lowest weight. Time to keep kicking it in gear! Have a great day everyone and drink that water!
  25. Great Job!! Keep it up!
