  1. I too am an ice cream addict. I have eaten every noght to a point where I have eten nothing else. My Doc tells my I am a carb asddict. I do believe that. I am trying to kick the habit. I have bought sugar free pudding to misx with skim milk. Also, I have bought almonds plain to ewt when I want something crunchy. I have have a really hard time lately. I am helping this helpd. I don't want to be obese ever agan.
  2. I am a patient of Dr. Cywes. The post op diet sometimes changes but basically, clear liquids for a few days, sugar free jello salt free bullion, sugar free popsiscles. then protein drinks alsong with the clear liquids I can't remember what else. Good luck sharn Dorr
  3. I have seen Dr. Baptista. Dr. Cywes did my surgery befoer Dr. Basptista came. I like them both. He is very qualified and 2 of my friends had him and like him very much
  4. Snowbird is right in her thinking. I would add a few thoughts: Are you drinking enough water? If you eat too few calories your body will be thinking you are in starvation mode and hold on too as much weight as possible. Make sure you get approximately 60 grms of protein a da. (some others have other ideas as to the amount of protein) 60 works for me. ALso, change your exercise routine and try something different. Above all, keep a positive attitude. Are you eating no more than 30 carbs a day? Good luck and keep on working out and eating healthy.
  5. I think there are some areas where the differences between men and woman will always be there. This is one of them. I am digusted with the men this years also. They are so cocky! The women work as hard if not harder, they just don't have the muscile capacity of men nor cam they lost the % as men do. It wuold be nice to run a men and women competitin at the same time. Have a grat day
  6. I live in Jacksonville and I know my physician does lap band at an outpatient clinic here and is considerably less. Why don't you try him. It would save you the cost of an air plane and also he is here if she gets in any trouble. His name is Dr. Cywes. Go to Home for more info. Good luck Sharon

  11. I have been banded over a year and I fight head hunger constantly. I call it emotional eating. I find that once I eat soemthing not "legal" it sets me on a binge. I have found that if I go back to 1 or 2 days of full liquids with my protein drinks as my staple and clean out the bad carbs, I can get myself back under control. Hope this helps.
