  2. You are awsome for sharing your beautiful story of hope This will motivate me even more for my surgery in October
  3. Amazing results! Congratulations you look fantastic
  4. I know my husband loves me and cares for me . Guess he worried . A day away from my husband was perfect! I got to clear my emotions and clear , focus my mind in a Hotel lol. I am very eager to have operation and I thank you for special people like you that have the heart to reach out to people like me .
  5. Wow ! Good on you for being so strong ! I am so happy to hear from you This is great that you went ahead with your operation . You give me inspiration and hope xxxx
  6. Oh please please .. Tell me how you went ! I am from Australia too... I know that your thread was written in 2012 but If u come back on here ... I am from Sydney Australia ...I can relate to feeling isolated .. Men are silly ( lack sensitivity ) I had huge fight with my husband ( left bubby with him) got too much ) can't rely on men ! Only rely on me to make this dream come true !
  7. I broke down in tears during my appointment ! Doctor weighed me , measured my height and told me that I was 35 BMI . My life came flashing back ... All those years of being self conscious of my weight .., embarrassed at school .. Dropped out of dancing classes ( because everyone was slim and perfect ) settled for looser boyfriends ext .. My surgeon saw and felt my pain and told me that I am a good candidate . Having surgery in October . Booked in ! I know family , husband will question the safety of surgery but for once in my life I know that nobody will influence me to not go ahead! I am always influenced by people ( softy) always scared to voice my words in fear I will be judged on my weight ! I want to be free .. I I want to loose excess fat and have no concerns that people will comment on my weight ( as if it is my fault for being fat) I just want to be fit and normal weight . I have a right to be skinny and so do all other overweight people ! I am seeing past the fat and excess weight now ! I will conquer and claim my right to be fit ! Thank god for gastric sleeve ! Bless the surgeons !
  8. Well done Alice for having the courage to be healthier ! I admire you so much. I have a 1 year old son and I too want to be healthier for him:)
  9. Hello, please dnt get discouraged as the wait is well worth it ! I healthier new you !
  10. My name is Anna 37 yrs married with 1 year old son & I am from Sydney Australia. Tomorrow I have an appointment with a sleeve surgeon. I am so excited! My BMI is 30 to 32 ( I go up and down) ! All my life I have had low confidence due to my weight & have tried every diet possible . Each time on my diets I have success and loose much but after a few months the fat comes back. I feel so restricted and unhealthy every day. Just longing to get on with life and to be slim and fit! I have health insurance but have to wait until 2 nd October 2013 to be covered for sleeve operation . A bit of a wait yet but fingers crossed time will fly . I feel happy when I read comments on this forum as it makes me realise I am not alone ! So many good people on here waiting for a new healthy life ! Good luck everyone Anna
