  1. I was given fuzzy navel in the hospital the day after surgery. Syntax with water was considered clear liquids with my Dr.
  2. You're doing great Lipstick!!!
  3. I had no problem with pills after surgery. I took approx. 10 a day pre-surgery but left the hospital with instructions to only take 2 1/2 pills. I asked my dr specifically about swallowing pills (before surgery) and he said there should be no problem. If I take anything that may make my stomach feel queasy I eat a low fat piece of string cheese at that time. Good luck with your pills, You may find you need to take less after surgery
  4. You're doing and looking great!!
  5. Congratulations on your continued success!!!!!!! Great to hear!
  6. Great results! Bet you'd swim in the smiley face shirt now!
  7. Congratulations!! What a great 40th birthday for you!! Enjoy!!
  8. Google Katie Couric Bingo Wings. I saw she had a segment on it with a trainer. I haven't watched the segment yet but plan to
  9. I did my pre-op exam with my PCP where I work for convenience. OK'd by Bariatric office. EKG was part of it. Pretty standard I think but I'm over 50 so that may have something to do with it.
  10. Sorry you've been put or put yourself into a deadline. Not that it won't happen but would think the stress of thinking about it would be tough. Just make sure you're following all your guidelines. Hope it all works out for you!
  11. At 2 days out I could only take small sips and felt it each time in my chest. In my case it was pretty normal I think and not a blockage.
  12. Agree weight will not always be a steady downward progress. Try to weigh in once a week at the most. Go longer if you can. Hard to do for some but that way you're more apt to see a drop though you may have some weeks you don't. As long as you keep at your program you will lose weight. Good luck with your journey.
  13. He may have just heard "surgery" and not understood what you were saying.
  14. With any previous dieting prior to surgery once I went 3-4 days without sugar/candy/sweets etc... my cravings would go away. Just getting it out of my system really helped. Happy to say now I've not had those cravings having gone without for a while. Good luck with your journey. (just posted this on your blog post as well)

  16. Are you on any meds that may need to be adjusted due to your weight loss?
  17. Looking good! Def NOT the same
  18. In the hospital the day after surgery they had me sip 1 oz of nectar protein (so basically like drinking water) until I could work up to drinking it in 15 mins. I was on clear liquids when I got home.
  19. Did not think it was a no-no if you're cleared for fruits. Most fruit is no protein and high sugar/carb content per serving so maybe that's the thought behind it?
  20. Sorry for the copy/paste. I don't prepare dishes as it's just me. Kids are out of the house so not feeding a family. I do 6 mini meals a day. Some stand bys for me are hot choc /decaf (15g) . 2 light mozzarella string cheese (12g). Chobani Lemon Greek Yogurt (15g). Boars Head Ever-roast deli Chicken 2 oz (13g). Al Fresco chicken sausage (14g). Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burger (11g).1 pouch tuna/1/2 c 1% cottage cheese (31g). Gortons Simply Bake Tilapia (20g). Unjury protein powder 1 scoop/8 oz skim milk (29g) and sometimes I add 2 T of PB2 which brings it to 34g. Each one of these standbys is 1 mini meal for me. I don't have room for anything after eating it. Don't eat them all on the same day but keep my cals under 900 for the day. I shoot for 90g a day. Sorry for the run on paragraph. My enter key is not working ONLY on this website. Have contacted Alex/Tech but no solution yet.
