  1. Was just thinking about you this morning wondering if you had your surgery yet!!
  2. The day after surgery in the hospital the goal they gave me was 1 oz every 15 mins. It was nectar protein lemonade. I had to reach that goal to be able to go home that day.
  3. Yes totally normal. I could hardly button my blouse when I left the hospital that fit the day before.
  4. Mine appeared as a pain in my left shoulder for a few days after surgery. I did not take gas-x. I was told that was more for intestinal gas.
  5. Looking smaller for sure!
  6. I'm guessing that's a daily occurrence for you now! Great job and attitude!
  7. I need to be 6" taller
  8. I'd probably try to find a PCP who supports you & your plan. Very lucky my provider actually was the one that encouraged me to look into it more. She thought I'd be a great candidate. They are out there. Good luck.
  9. You look great! Congrats! What's your height and when did you have surgery?
  10. Not everyone gets cathed.
  11. Hope every thing goes smoothly for you. Good thing you were scheduled for the sleeve though otherwise it may have been longer before they knew you had a tumor
  12. By outward appearances you're doing fabulous! Congratulations!
  13. No we like the ode
  14. Well at least your husband shouldn't worry about your daily rendevous.
  15. Sorry you're going thru that. I live alone so slept pretty much the 1st couple of days I was home and then long naps the rest of the week. Didn't have little ones to take care of, meals to prepare, etc...and didn't have a drain. Can't imagine having to do that right away. You need to get some rest to heal which may be hard to do. Ask that main support person to take over so you can get some needed rest.
  16. I pretty much shop the perimeter in any grocery store now for my proteins. Also hit the tuna aisle and dairy for yogurt and string cheese. What I try to keep in the house and easy to grab for 12 hr work shifts. Chobani Greek Lemon Yogurt Kraft Low fat Mozzarella String Cheese Tuna 1% Cottage Cheese Boars Head Ever roast Chicken (deli) Morningstar Black Bean Burgers Gorton's Tilapia Simply Bake skim milk eggs Decided to stop buying SF popsicles this week. Was too easy for me to rationalize the cals but the carbs added up. Dropped 3 lbs this week so ok with that. I finally bought some fresh veggies today. Haven't had veggies since May 1 and I love veggies. Will see how that goes:)
  17. Sounds like the weight loss is going great for you! Congrats on that! Agree on getting back to the basics of protein first. The protein helps keep hunger at bay and the carbs can create craving more carbs. The water is key too.
  18. Your body needs to adjust after dropping 22 lbs in 2 weeks. Many have a stall at that time. I prefer not to think of them as "stalls" but just part of the journey. What food stage are you at?
  19. 24 lbs in 5 weeks is great!! What do you mean stalled for 3 weeks already? Did you lose 24 lbs in 2 weeks and nothing since? I know people get frustrated when they don't see the scale move as often as they want but you have to think of the big picture. Follow the plan that you are supposed to. The scale will move again. Promise.
  20. You look super! Need to update your ticker though, if you lose 103 more lbs there won't be anything left of you
  21. I had no problem with clear broth after surgery. Maybe not the 1st couple of days but could soon sip on a cup of broth with no problem. I did better with warm liquids in the beginning.
