  1. Hi pretty much anything I would normally. I am a vegetarian though. Today I had my first raw carrots. I am 6 1/2 weeks out.
  2. Nope. Everybody is different
  3. The chicken soup or stock one was excellent! I tried the unflavored in some tomato soup and it was just wrong not to mention the dump Clumps!
  4. Maybe doing too much? If still running high in am, i would def return.
  5. I focus mentally on digesting it in my mouth or liquefying it before swallowing. I know one person who used to set a countdown timer on her phone and chew each bite for a predetermined number of seconds until she picked up the behavior. Good luck
  6. I usually have a slice of avocado or more every day. I no longer consume butter which I used to do on a daily basis. I also have many bottles of EVOO which are flavored and they are fabulous. Great post!
  7. Again I find myself thinking that this surgery was supposed to be the magic cure. It is not. My weight loss is only 1 pound per week. My diet is high-protein low-carb low-calorie (850 to 1000) and I must exercise often for that 1 pound per week. I see my surgeon every month n my next visit is 6/3. I'm hoping for a grand number. I am 6 1/2 weeks out. Am i the only one like this??? I keep waiting for my clothes to fall off of me--some sign apart from a number. But not yet. Only a couple of people have even noticed I've lost anything. I'm very disappointed... Band to sleeve revision. 6 1/2 weeks out, 22.5 down

Thanks for the encouragement. I've put away the scale, been tracking my intake, sharing my online journal w/the dietician, n finally worked out today!! I will just b patient n know the pounds will fall off. I'm also working on reducing stress. I skipped a few activities w/the kids this week for some ME-time.

Wow! Assume much? I work full-time teaching, have 4 kids which requires me to be at either the soccer fields or football fields 4 days/week usually chasing my 2yr-old, church 2/wk, finishing my Master's, cub scouts every wk, n I have my own business. i'm VERY active n assumed i would lose a bunch going from recovery to full-on life, but no. Plz remember EVERY body IS different. I'm looking for others in my situation who may be able to offer insight. Ur comment was simply judgemental.
  10. I am 6 weeks post op. My weight loss has slowed to one pound per week for the last 4 weeks. My doctor suggested I may be carb sensitive. Has anyone else had this mentioned?

I am currently six weeks post op, but only losing a pound a week. I had complications with my surgery resulting in a 10 day hospital stay. Once I came home and shed all of the extra IV fluids, I lost 20 some pounds. However, now it is a painfully slow 1 pound a week average loss. I spoke with my surgeon about my frustration, the obvious negative calorie balance resulting from a drastically reduced caloric intake, And he told me that some of his sleeve patients may be carb sensitive. Have any of you been told you were carb sensitive? I know some people talk about going through phases of not losing weight, but I am truly concerned. I am a band to sleeve conversion patient. The band really did not work for me, and now I'm really fearful that the sleeve will not work either. All I keep thinking is I know I did not have two WLS only to be virtually the same size. Of course, the question from the doctor, nurses, and dietitian is, "have you been working out? " As if that is the reason why my weight loss is so slow. Grrrrrrr....
  12. Glad u made it home!! What an ordeal....
