  1. Hello every one. I am interested in having the lap band procedure and have been researching for some time now. I have known for a while now that my current insurance carrier has an exclusion against it. While researching, I found out that one of the area hospitals associated with this insurance has a doctor that specializes in bariactric procedures!! I find that very odd!! So as of now I am currently trying to find a new insurance carrier. What should I look for in the policy? Is there a special wording? Or should I look for exclusions to weight loss? I need help! Please feel free to e-mail me directly. Sincerely, Searching in STL
  2. I am in St. Louis, MO and I am trying to find an insurance company that will cover the procedure. I have inquired with BCBS on their PPO plan and am still waiting to recieve info pack through the mail. Is there anyone else out there in my area who is doing the same thing? Or cares to share their experience?
