    6weeks out and slow loosing

I am almost 7 weeks out and have only lost 26 lbs so 40 lbs is awesome! Keep up the good work!
  2. I have blurred vision for the first week and a half but it was due to the medication called Levcin that I was on for severe spasms caused by the surgery. Once I came off of the meds, my vision cleared. I am so sorry you have had that complication.
  3. I could shower the next day but I was told to wait at least 10 days before I took a tub bath or went swimming. I could drive as soon as I was off the nausea and pain meds. They told me that I could walk but not to do any major exercising for 4-6 weeks.

    Suggestions For Thickend Liquid Stage?

I have been blending different soups and then straining out the small chunks left and eating 4 oz at a time. It is so much better than clear liquids and sugar free jello!

    Any April sleevers out there?

I am struggling to get liquids in at all. My mid back and chest still hurt so bad. My surgeon said that it could be spasms as they are common with this surgery. I just can't get easy and right now I am questioning why I did this. Need some prayers please!

    Full Liquid Phase. Blah!

My surgery is in the morning but I will make it a point to ask them before I leave the hospital what it means. I will tell my husband too just in case I forget to ask! It will be difficult but the end result is going to be awesome! I have to say that I am nervous about going back to regular food but that is why we have each other so that we can keep informed of good recipes and things that probably should be avoided.

    Full Liquid Phase. Blah!

Will do! I will probably need a reminder myself. How long are you all having to stay on a full liquid diet? I know every surgeon is different but my surgeon told me 3 days clear liquid, 4 days full liquid, and then a progressive diet. Does anyone know what progressive diet means? I am guessing maybe the mushie or puree phase but not so sure!
  10. Who all out there is scheduled for surgery tomorrow? I was lucky that I didn't have to do a two week pre-op diet but I have had to do the prep today with a liquid diet. Just curious as to how everyone scheduled tomorrow is feeling today?

  13. I just ordered my sample pack from BJ's Bariatrics and I am so excited but I am pretty sure that they won't get here by the time I come home from the hospital. Can anyone that has ordered from them tell me how long it takes to get what you order. I also went ahead and order the Unjury sample pack too and I would like to hear from anyone that can help, if they are good and how long it takes to get those also. I absolutely love this site. It is so helpful!

    Any April sleevers out there?

I have a tentative surgery date of April 24th also pending insurance approval. I am so excited and nervous too. I have already been drinking the chocolate Lean Protein from GNC and it isn't bad. I bought a cheap smoothie maker and I put water and ice in mine and isn't too bad.

    Hi New here

Thank you jessinoz4. I think that i can but am just scared that I won't get the weight off in time. I have a wonderful support system and I have told everyone at work and my family but I am different than most. I am doing this for me to feel better and I have had many negative comments made and people trying to talk me out of it but I know that I have made the right decision for me. No one knows you like you do and the people that are negative and try to talk you out of it have never had to fight the battle that we have. They don't and will never understand. Keep your head up lukkymee because this is one thing that is all about you and no one else matters. So whether or not you tell other people that is your business just know that you have friends here on this forum that will support this huge and positive decision you have made in your life.

    Hi New here

I am new here also and I don't have a set in stone surgery date yet but it is supposed to be in April 2013. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I still have 8 lbs to lose before the surgery and i am really stressing out. I just found out yesterday that it had been approved so I thought that I would have more time.
