  1. Hi Pennydog, I had the same problem. After researching I learned that my stomach needed the acid to break down the protein I was eating. The Prilosec was trying to keep it at bay while my body was trying to produce more and more - what it needed to process the food. Within 48 hours of quitting Prilosec I never had the problem again. Also, don't eat anything for 2+ hours before going to bed. Put some bricks under the feet of the head of your bed if needed to keep your body in a slightly graded position. All of these will help, but my #1 suggestion is to quit the Prilosec now. You are far enough into your healing that it is no longer needed. It will only exacerbate the problem. Best, reddemme
