I am a floor nurse on med/surg 40 bed unit where we take 4-5 pts each and i took off 2 weeks as do others on our floor. At 2 weeks I felt very normal

I was in a stall and increase my calories by 200 a day and since lost 5 pounds in a weekend! I know it doesn't make sense but it works.

Does anyone know why i couldnt have pickle juice on my 1 week post diet of clear liquids?

When i was on my week of liquids i did: Protein shake before i left for work, took oatmeal for around 9-9:30, ate some soup an applesauce for lunch, cottage cheese for snack, and then soup and pudding for supper. I then would eat jello right before bed. I did that every day for the week. It was never bad as long as i got all of my protein in! Good luck!

I only had to do 1 week pre op liquids. It was not to fun but with the ultimate goal in mind it was ok. When is your surgery again?

So how did your appointment with Dr Legrand go? I had my surgery Monday and got released yesterday. Feeling pretty good

Did anyone get an on-q pain pump that goes to gravity after surgery for muscular and incisional pain? If so did it help??

July 8th here too! Mega stoked and a little nervous! Im one of 2 nurse for the bariatriac program in Missouri so i think maybe i know too much... But at the same time the patients are my motivation! Cant wait!!!!
