pre surgery gitters
Do you put the coconut oil on your skin or do you eat it as in coffee or or other ways. My sister is really pro coconut oil. Is giving it to 95 year old with dementia and is seeing great results with cognition. She puts it in coffee, melts and puts in yogurt and in shakes. Ideas -- how do you use it for the skin issues?

New Here!
I am just finishing my first month of doctor supervised diet-- I was discouraged about this at first, but am realizing that it is a good thing and does take time to complete all the requirements. Reading on this site is a great help. I am wondering if there are any of you that are about my age (64) that have already been thru surgery.?? My BMi is 39 and I have been told a very good candidate, however I am concerned about my age. Please--- encourage me if you can or PLEASE tell me negatives because of age. Of course I want to be smaller for vanity reasons --But I am a confident person and my most important reason is for my health. I would like to have a healthier more active life with my 4 children and 10 grandchildren. My husband is super and totally on board. Thanks for any insight.

New here! Any low BMIers?
Hi Amy, my name is Alice. I am also in beginning stages of this. I went a seminar about 6 years ago and the sleeve wasn't available then---I could not see doing the other choices-- so I continued on my lifelong journey of TRYING. I have maintained at about 230 lbs for about 10 years-- so do not know where I would be had I not TRIED. HOWEVER, I am 64 and the sleeve has been presented to me by so many-- that I feel this tool is what I need. I did lose 100 lbs when I was about 30 -- I know I can do it and hope you can too. My BMi is 39.

Do you have to do the 6 month monitoring by a doctor?- just a little intro
I received discouraging news- I have Unitedhealthcare and it seems they will not give a precert- I qualify but have to go thru 6 months monitoring which I have started. I received a letter saying I was approved - but there was no guarantee of payment --- confusing.- just a little intro
Just starting my journey--- I am excited- but concerned. I am 64 years old! - just a little intro
