  2. i was sleeved the 18th. i type this from my office. maybe i'm abnormal, but i was sleeved last monday, discharged tuesday at 0600 and felt good enough to work wednesday. i was tired, but i felt fine. no pain meds, very little gas pain that i walked off. I never thought it would be this way. I'm down 12 lbs in 7 days (mostly water, i know, but weight is weight). i guess the takeaway from this thread is the only common theme is that there is no common theme. some people take weeks, others days. neither is wrong or cause for concern. you have to be in touch with the messages your body is sending and let that guide your actions.

  6. My dr told me i was free to drive as soon as i was off pain meds. I never touched them. got bored to tears yesterday (2 days post-op) and drove to the dry cleaners. trying to get back to a normal routine
  7. i was also sleeved on the 18th. almost walked out in the waiting room (nervous). I couldn't be happier with the recvoery. i haven't touched the pain meds and gas issues are minimal. i need a little more energy or i could go back to work today. this is a no brainer
  8. Keep it up. I am 3 days post-op. I too, almost walked out duriing the registration. I did all my hoemwork, but isn't real until you're standing in the hospital. My recovery appears to be typical of Dr. Thomas's patiesnt. I had some gas issues the first nite, but that was it. thus far, i not used any pain medication. As of this writing I feel Absoultely perfect. no pain, no bloating, just a littel tired. I am trying very hard to take in protein, but i'm just not hungry. The only thing i miss is the chewing. i'll try some gum.
