I have 4 including the port!

My baby just turned 1 (woohoo) & I got my band in june & im STILL breastfeeding I only pumped & dumped for the 4 days I was in mexico! Breastfeeding is perfectly fine they unfill you when your pg because of the nausea that goes along with it.....sorry to put it this way but were already fat as it is so our bodies dont need 2000 cals a day to make milk or grow a baby.....I gained 8lbs during my pg then lost 26 right after I had him then gained all 26 back & decided omh its time to do something! I always GAIN like CRAZY when I BF! Good Luck!

Oh thank you so much for getting back quick Grace!!!! & what a GREAT experience! I didnt think fill centers used fluoro so wooohooo & double woohoo highland is much closer than salt lake for me! (in fact I work in american fork lol) im much more excited about going now! What did he say about weight gain? I contacted my surgeons office (the nut) & she said its quite normal but obviously its not! I also have a 9.75 band so I hope they are just as good at filling it! (heck now im considering canceling my trip to mexico & just doing the fill here!)

Grace.....I want to know how the fill went??? Im also in utah & planned to start getting my fills at the fill center after i get my initial fill in mexico....I also want to add in i've gained 5-8lbs (depending on the day) since surgery it sucks!!!! Hopefully our fills work for us!

hmmmm I was banded by dr Ortiz on the 26th of June & didnt have a computer (encouraged/brought to) to go " write a review" the only computers i saw was when they took me back for blood & IV & the drs were on them lol I did however use the computers at the hotel :typing: but not for review! lol I had an awesome experience but can also say WTH was up with the paper undies? :faint: & the transportation was def like an assembly line but everything else was great :clap2: I think everyone should research research research & research some more the dr they are planning on using & don't just choose the cheapest price out there we all know the cheapest isn't the best! Everything I searched led me back to Ortiz which is why I chose him! THANK YOU to everyone who are putting names of bad drs out there for the people who dont do the researching on their own! *stepping off my soap box*

Ok here's my lil update: I went to my family dr today he did a cbc everything looks great! white blood count is a 6 so perfect! He figures the diarrhea is from the liquid diet & not sure where the fever came from (maybe something I ate, broth, in mexico?) but if it comes back im to go straight back in! He ordered a CT scan for my spleen & said they will also check the band while there to make sure everything is ok but where my cbc is fine hes sure it has nothing to do with the band! So now I wait for the hospital to call for the scan Thanks for "listening"! ~Jess

Im keeping hydrated & not showing any signs of dehydration (im a nurse so know what to watch for).....my dr is in mexico so its not like I can just drive to the office so to speak (& im for sure going to my reg dr tomorrow since Dr Ortiz said my spleen was enlarged & to get it checked out).....I just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this or knew what it could be from?

I was banded 6-26-07 felt great since but yesterday I woke up feeling HORRIBLE checked my temp 103.1 really nauseated & severe diarrhea (the kind that you can't get off the toilet for 5 min) the Dr mentioned my Spleen was enlarged & to have it checked out when I got home so im waiting till tomorrow to get in but as for now what in the world could be wrong? My gallbladder is already removed so I know its not that. My temp broke at midnight & its stayed in between 98-100 since as long as I keep tylenol in me & I've been taking immodium so I can go an hour or 2 between bathroom trips. The only good thing is im down 20lbs lol but im tired of bein on the toilet! Thanks in advance! ~Jess

I did alot of research & have always turned back to Dr Ortiz in mexico its 8500 including all surgery & preop costs as well as hotel & transportation to & from airport....he is one of the best I have surgery scheduled on the 27th!

Hey all! I'm in Springville getting banded by Dr Ortiz on June 27th! I heard the costco ones weren't bad at all Mr Downtown....I just take the flinstones chewables with my boys lol (II figured I better get in the habit since surgery is just around the corner) Hope everyone is doing well!
