  1. So far so good. Unfortunately I went back to my old eating habits (inhaling my food) but after a couple bites I remembered to eat slowly. I was sleeved on 7/19. On the good side since all I do is talk all day it makes me drink lots more water. How was your first day back???
  2. I was out for two weeks. I swear the hardest thing i had to do in a while. Put in my uniform and head to work.
  3. First day back at work and feel like I never had surgery. I'm feeling great. Actually feel hungry for the first time in two weeks. I guess cause I'm up and moving around. We will see how I feel tonight. I've been REALLY thirsty al day. Good way to get my water in.
  4. I'm just 17 days post op and have only lost 13 pounds. Not stressing over it. As long as the number on the scale goes down that's all that matters.
  5. The funny thing is I can drink plain water if its freezing cold but only can tolerate room temp water if its flavored. My taste buds are more picky now.
  6. I am a stomach sleeper and as of sat I have been able to sleep on my stomach (sleeved 7-19). The past couple of nights have been the best nights if sleep I've had in two weeks.
  7. Has anyone else had an issue with Crystal Light?? I was doing great up until two days ago. All the sudden it's like my body turned against it and doesn't like it very much. I guess I just have to drink my water with no flavor.
  8. Best of luck to you and all those getting sleeved tomorrow.
  9. I was there for two days. So I had already taken an extra pair of panties (just in case. And (tmi alert) if you fart something other then air might come out). The hospital does give you stuff but I don't know if you are like me but I like my own soap and stuff to take a shower. And let me tell you that shower was the best shower in the world. Don't know if you watch The Walking Dead but I was like those guys when they took their first shower in forever. Chapstick is a must. (I had 3). I wore a light t shirt and stretchy yoga pants going in but then changed into one of my over sized sleep shirts. Wore that home.
  10. This subject just makes me gag. Yuck!!!
  11. I only ate bread those two times. Other then that I haven't. The good thing is that I don't feel like I need to have bread. But I know if I get a taste if pasta it will be All over.
  12. I'm two weeks post op and I've had a flour tortilla and a slice of honey wheat bread with tuna fish. The tortilla have me the most issue.
  13. Yummmm.....Cinnamon Toast Crunch!!! One of my FAVORITES!!!
  14. I'm cold and loving it :-) I used to be hot ALL the time. Spring, summer, fall and winter. Living in Fl we don't get much cold weather. But ever since my surgery I need to have blankets on the bed and socks on my feet. It's the weirdest thing. And the other great thing is I don't instantly start sweating when I step outside. It takes a bit then I sweat but not like before.
  15. I ate 3/4 of a flour tortilla 1.5 weeks post op and was paying for it the next day. It's wasn't too bad but had bad reflux and didn't really eat much that day.
  16. I took two weeks off. Go back to work on Monday. I can't wait. Cabin fever is setting in. But I know when I get back I'm going to wish I took more. I just work in a high stress, physical, time crunch job setting. But maybe that will also help get used to eating at certain time too.
  17. I took two weeks. Go back to work on Monsay.
  18. Glad to see that I'm not the only one only needing to take a multi vitamin only (no D for me). I thought I hadn't listened or read my stuff from the doc. I only take my Flinstones vitamin and that's it.
  19. I agree with everyone with the whole take it easy. Stay hydrated. And don't over do it.
  20. Looks like I might have hit my stall. I've been at the same weight for two days. Not even a .1. Oh we'll. Time to hunker down and do everything by the book.
  21. Since we are talking about scales do you guys have cheapo scales or slightly more sophisticated ones?? I have a cheapo digital but am thinking about getting one that's more technically advanced.
  22. I get mine from Sams. I think costco sells them too. You can buy them online also.
