Alot on BP members are on MyFitnessPal and log their daily food intakes. See if they will invite you to their friend list and you can spy on their menus......(I do)

Thanks for this article. I am going to bring this up with my cardiologists when I reach my goal. Hopefully it has made a difference with me and I can drop a few of the meds I'm taking.

Pain reduce
Not sure what type of pain you're referring to. For overall....your Doc should have given you something like Percocet or similar. If it's unsettledness or heartburn....try Tums, Gas-X or the like (chew 'em up) And as far a chewable. Ehhhh. wrong. I was taking my meds (pills) right away. ( I did cut the huge ones in half) Gotta admit though, I do use gummies for Vitamins. (better taste, I guess)

Kim, how are we gonna know if you are "rockin it out" if we don't have stats. Update your stats Kim. Great Job, keep up the good work.

2weeks and 2 months
Ok......you need to take it down a couple of notches. They're gonna need to put you in a straight jacket for the surgery. Go to a movie or take up a hobby. Get your mind on something else. It's not likely to be a big joyous celebration. It's gonna be some difficult adjustments and a long tedious effort. Try to stay focused and relaxed. Try some of that Zen, Yoga stuff.......

question
Mourn smorn..............the stomach is not an appendage. It just holds food. Too much food in our case. The smaller one is still doing the same job. We're not handicapped by having a smaller stomach. All we have to do now is re-train the brain to put in the correct foods in the right amount from now on. I am rejoicing. My huge stomach never did me anything I am pleased about. I'm glad it's gone.

Favorite Pre Op Protien Drink
My favorite "Pre-op" Protein drink was a Extra large thick chocolate milk shake......or maybe a White Russian.....or a ........ Now.....no favorites.....just the ones I can manage to keep down. I'm gonna hunt down the people that come up with the names for these Protein drinks.....they're probably all sittin around laughing their asses off. Ps: that goes for the names of the Protein Bars too.........I mean...."apple pie" ...(are you kidding me)

It's the little things...

85% convinced. How do I get to 100%? You don't.. They're only taking 85% of your stomach, so you're good to go.

Impossible to pass water and puree down!
You right. Sixteen days seems too long for it to still be causing you pain. That said.......this is not the place you need to be seeking the cause or medical advice. Call your doctor. Or better yet, go to the ER if you can't drink fluids. You do not want to become dehydrated.

Day 3 of Pre-Op Diet...thinking, thinking, thinking
Sounds reasonable to me. Forget what my reason was......if you got this licked, you go for it.

Weight at a stand still
Mix it up a bit. Jack the calories up to 1000 for a couple of days and then back down. Step up the cardio with the higher calories. And stop worrying. In fact, get used to it, stalls will re-occur lots more on the way to your goal.

Foggy?
ten minutes..... really. You come out of it quick and are fairly alert and start mobility and walking right off. You will be tired and easily drift off to sleep for awhile but while awake, you shouldn't be in a fog.

How Many Calories @ Day?
You want a number......try 800 for awhile.

exercising

I Crave You: The Voice of Seduction
Great Article, The whole "zen" thing is great, but a little outside my realm. I kinda go by the consequences thingy. When I was a kid there was Dad to administer the consequences of my wrongdoings. Now.....It's just that this is my last and final effort and I have worked too hard for every single lost pound and if I cheat or fail, there is the consequence of giving it all back. (and the whole.... I could die from obesity thing. )

Confused on how weight loss works
You wouldn't. When you're on liquids, you're gonna lose more than when to get to solid food. And when you get to goal and start maintenance you're not gonna lose anymore. That's pretty much it.
