I am in a fourth grade teacher in Texas. I was sleeved Oct. 8. My doctor said I could go back to work on Monday, but I don't see how...I am so tired and still experiencing some pain. My principal wont be happy with me...but I have to do this for me. I need a few more days.

I was sleeved Oct.8. Feeling okay...not a lot of pain. I am just so tired right now. I am suppose to return to work on Monday, and right now I don't see how I can do it.

This worries me too. I have a very intense relationship with Dr Pepper. The thought of never being able to drink it again makes me panic. I used to drink 4-6 a day, but I am down to 1-2 a day. I have to give it up though...as tough as it may be. I want to be healthy! Jennifer

Hello, My name is Jennifer and I am just starting on this journey. I am 46 years old and have been battling my weight for years. I have done many different diets and can lose some of the weight but I always end up gaining it back. I now have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and joint pain. So after doing a lot of research and soul searching, I decided that having the sleeve done was the best choice for me. I had my first doctor visit on Monday. I qualify for the surgery because of my co-morbidities. I will end up paying about $2000 out of pocket. I have a few hoops to jump through first...six months of medically supervised weight loss, a psych evaluation, and a nutritionist visit. Hopefully I will get to have my surgery in September. I look forward to getting to know people here.
