  1. I am hoping July also! My last nutrition appointment is the end of May and then I will submit all the paperwork.
  2. I am telling my family and people that I care about but I am not telling my inlaws. They will have negative stuff to say for sure. They have never been a pound overweight in their lives and if they don't approve to h e double hockey sticks with them. This is my life and I am taking it back!
  3. I love this board. Thank you so much for all of the information!
  4. That was why I was asking. I know I will need it during surgery, but wasn't sure if it was so bad that I would have to sleep with it at home. I know I snore and I know I wake up a lot at night, but don't seem to have any other problems. Thanks everyone!
  5. An app for that! You got me there!
  6. I was pretty sure that I had it because I snore extremely loud but now that I know I have it I am kind of nervous. Will I have to sleep with the machine at home too? The only upside is that this is what I needed to guarantee approval.
  7. Congrats! I have the same insurance and hoping for the same outcome!
  8. I did my sleep study a week ago and the surgeons office just called to say that I have to go have another study because I do have it. This time I have to sleep with the cpap machine. I was concerned about not being approved for surgery because I really had no comorbitities and a BMI under 40. Now I am scared and worried. Anyone have a second study?
  9. This just made my night! Nothing worse than thinking about something for 3 months and then finding out it isn't going to happen. That has been my biggest fear!
  10. Cynthia if you don't mind me asking what are your stats? I have the same insurance. I have a 37.7 BMI and waiting to hear back about Sleep Apnea. If I don't have that my only comorbidities are high cholesterol and reflux. Thanks and congrats!
  11. I am so glad you said that! I was wondering what it was like compared to Caesarian. !
  12. Barium is so disgusting! I had my Upper Gi today and my stomach still feels gross!
  13. I am not on meds for anything.
  14. I didn't call the insurance company but I looked at my benefits online and it is covered 90%. I am just concerned my co-morbidities are not the more serious conditions, so that might go against me. The policy changed the beginning of last year and now says you only have to have one. Fingers crossed.
  15. Has anyone been approved with a BMI lower than 40? If so what were your comorbitities? Also I have seen a lot of people who are denied, appeal and win, I have yet to see someone who was denied 2x. What is your experience? I have Anthem BCBS. I have a 37.7 BMI and I am waiting for results from my sleep study. I have high cholesterol high triglycerides and indigestion. I have been overweight for 20 years. If I don't have apnea I plan on making sure I "put on" the few pounds needed to get to 40 BMI.
  16. Apparently every policy is different. I have BCBS Anthem of CA and I did not need a referral I know they have recently changed their policy. I have to have 3 months nutrition appts.
