Hi- I had surgery with Dr Castaneda Cruz in November 2012. I chose to have the single-incision gastric sleeve. Everyone recovers differently and I am happy to say my experience was excellent. I also stayed at the Marriott Casa Magna. I would certainly recommend Dr Castaneda Cruz, his staff and the PVR facilities. I would encourage others to also look at the single incision method (thru the belly button). I have 1 tiny mark on my side from the drain tube and it has healed nicely and in another few months will be barely noticeable. I am now 3.5 months post-op and have lost 40 lbs thus far. I have committed to the lifestyle change and hope that you will too. Most days are pretty easy, but some are hard. Follow the plan...choose your food wisely...commit to your new lifestyle. That is how you will be successful. I would have no hesitation recommending my experience with Dr Castaneda Cruz to anyone. Good luck!
