  1. Thanks for the welcome Aussiegirl
  2. I have been told no fruit but I do love fresh blueberries which I bought today to blend with Vanilla shake for breakky. Cheers Sue
  3. Good luck with your surgery Ladydawag2009. I'm being operated on the same day and I'm looking forward to a journey all about me. That's why I'm doing this as I'm 50 later in the year and I want my weight to be a Healthy BMI of 26. Got a long way to go to get there but I'm on my way now to achieving it ????
  4. Hi everyone and thank you so much for your warm welcome. I'm now at the end of day 4 pre op and doing quiet good. I just hang out for the salad for dinner. I've added lean protein - fish with it for the last 2 days as feeling quiet deprived of food. Had my first emotional episode last night due to stress. I'm so proud of my self, only had a small no fat yoghourt tub at 2.30 am as I couldn't sleep as well. Thank you to all for sharing your journey as I'm getting so much inspiration. Cheers Sue alias Aussie
  5. Hi there, are there any March sleepers being done in Melbourne. I'm being done 18/03 at Warringal Hospital Heidelberg. Day 3 of the pre op diet & could have eaten anything but I didn't. Anyway if you are in Melbourne and live in Northern suburbs I'd love to start a support group for meetings etc. I hope everyone is well Cheers Sue alias Aussie
  6. Hello from Australia, I'm 3 days into my 2 week pre op liquid diet. Feeling very low in energy but I have also just worked two nights - I'm a nurse. I have to have 3 protein drinks with water only. Here in Australia you have to use Optifast and I really dislike it but I'm pushing through it. One post I saw a lady said she could eat her finger off. I think I'm at that stage! My surgery is on 3/08/13.
  7. Hi there, I'm a newbie as well and have my surgery in Australia on 3/08/13. Just started the no fat liquid diet. Finding ok as I'm doing night duty. Good luck with your surgery. Ill let you know how I go. Cheers Aussie
  8. Hi all, I'm from Australia and have my sleeve op on 8th March as well. I have just started my 2 week prep and I am doing night shift as well. I think I was crazy doing nights and the pre op prep. Here in Australia you have to go on Optifast for 2 weeks 3 x day & have one meal of salad. It's going to be a hard task but I've just completed day 1 and am at work (it's night time here 04.30 hrs). Thanks for listening to me and good luck to everyone booked in for March. Cheers Aussie????
