  3. The Biotin, the collagen doesn't help! I', 4.5 months out and myy hair started falling out last week. I have very fine hair and not a lot of it. Thankfully my hair is naturally curly so I can "arrange" it to hide the balding spots - but eventually I'll be left with a couple of curls either side of my head. Thinking of changing my gender and then religion to that of hasidic judaism (not intended to offend anyone) that way can get away with the bald head and the two long curls by my ears!! I thought I could handle this.....but truth is I'm getting emotional and very sensitive about the whole thing. As someone else wrote - I'm no Demi Moore and can't pull off the GI Jane thing! OK, gonna go cry now.......
  4. Hello everyone. Pretty new here. Can anyone tell me if they also experienced the ungodly, rip your belly apart itching post op. I'm 3, almost 4 weeks post and each and every incision site is red, looks like has a rash around it and the worst itching i've ever experienced. Remedies?
  5. Hi, On Day 4 post op I weighed myself and gasped - I'd gained 3lbs then realized that gas, fluids etc had all contributed to this gain. My belly looked twice the size before I went in and was black, blue and very sore. Today am 10 days post op. weighed myself and had lost 7lbs. Belly is still bigger than when I went in but definitely has reduced in size. Felt so much better on day 7 when they removed the drain. God that was a pain. Feeling good, walking 2.5 each day and happy now that I can see results. My only issue is the Protein - every supplement seems to taste horrible. have you found one that you can add to broth etc that doesn't taste hideous? Cheers and best,
  6. Hi Chris, Thanx for the advice I think I'll do that.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here. Had my surgery 3/5. All went really well. Today 3/9 my bandage surrounding the drainage tube was peeling away, smelled unpleasant and I decided to cut it off and replace with clean dressing. I didn't disturb the tube (much). Did anyone else change the dressing around their drainage tube? Did everything turn out OK? Also itching like crazy from all wound sites (6 in all) - guessing that's the healing. Thanx, Anna

  13. A tad apprehensive. But mostly want to get it done and recovering. Have 7 year old so need to be back up and at it quickly!!! How long has it taken folks to recover? I'm hoping no longer than 2 weeks. Know everyone is different but setting myself a goal of getting up and walking evening of my surgery - hopefully can stick to my goal. Good luck everyone!
  14. Hello. Struggled with weight all my life but was a healthy big girl. Getting older and being heavy isn't a good combo. I am a mother. Struggled to have a child for 10 years. Finally at the age of 44 gave birth to my beautiful son. Im now 51 and he's 7. I'm old, fat and have a 7 year old. He is my driving force. I have to be here for him and I want to be able to play baseball, soccer, basketball (he's very athletic) with him. And right now, I can't.
