  3. Well the time is almost here, after a 7 month journey my time to be sleeved is just around the corner. In less than 24 hours my life will change forever. I have been on a clear liquid diet that started Saturday, it's been tough but not as tough as I had imagined it would be. Any advice is appreciated.
  4. Thank you Beth :-) yes I was very stressed about it as I have a replacement flying in to cover my desk but everything worked out and I can't turn back now after all the hard work the last 6 months lol
  5. So my surgery was initially supposed to be April 24th but they called me yesterday to say that it was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. I thought I had two more weeks to prepare but I don't. Liquid diet starts Saturday and surgery Monday at 4 pm. Heading to the store tonight to get everything I need for a speedy recovery. good Luck everyone and ill be sure to check in on Monday evening.
  6. We have to think positive! As long as we follow the Dr's orders we will do great. I have no kids so I can only imagine what you are thinking but stay positive and know your doing this for a better life
  7. Well they moved it from the 24th to Monday afternoon. I thought if be happy but now I'm starting to panic a little.

  9. I haven't started it I was told just liquids 2 days before surgery. I also got a call today that they need to reschedule. Hopefully it will be bumped up to next week otherwise they said may 6th. I have waited 6 months already so I'm hoping its not pushed back to may.

Thanks Kimmie I have been doing tons of research so much in fact my boyfriend is sick of me being in my iPhone lol I have been doing a low carb diet for a month or so now so I'm already prepared for hunger and I have found I can tolerate the taste of the the premier protein and Atkins shakes pretty well . The pain scares me most as I've never been in a hospital overnight and certainly never had a surgery. I also have a really low pain tolerance. I'm going to just keep praying that everything will be ok. Thanks for the Information.
  14. Hi Kimmie, being you are the only one on this thread that has gone thru the surgery already can you give us any tips or things to prepare for? Good luck with your new sleeve and getting pregnant in a few years

  18. They submitted it to bc/bs today and I got the date today. The squeaky wheel is me lol I called every day this week until I had an answer.
