  1. I am on day 2 of the preop diet with surgery on the 21st. I purchased Isopure Protein powder from GNC. I have Mango/Peach (I think it has peach). It doesn't taste too bad. I am also drinking Pure Protein drinks from costco. At dinner I get to have a small portion of meat and vegetables. Dinner has never been so satisfying. Good luck, Jay
  2. I am paying $4,650 next week in TJ, Mexico with Dr. Alejandro Lopez. It covers everything including the hospital and hotel stay. On top of that I have to pay for airfaire to San Diego for my buddy and I. I'm having surgery on the 21st.
  3. Keep us posted on how the process unfolds for you. Good luck:)
  4. Hello all, I have diabetic gastroparesis and am having VSG surgery in the next 2-4 weeks. Have any of you had this condition and if so, what kind of improvement did you see after surgery? Thank you, Jay
  5. I have a BMI of 35 and I am having the surgery. I have tried for years to lose weight and am unable to do it. I'm looking forward to the high possibility of not feeling hungry and craving food after surgery. I do, however, have diabetes and related complications.
  6. I am following your blog. I will go to Dr. Lopez March 21.
  7. Congrats! Did you go with Ajejandro Lopez? Please tell me more about the process, nutritionist, experience, etc.
  8. I am also pre-op but my friend who had VSG and went from 320 to 180lbs told me he doesn't crave food anymore and in fact he forgets to eat.
  9. Thank you. I am on hold with them as I type. Good luck with surgery.
