  1. Hi shorties! I was sleeved 1/23. I'm 4'11.5". Highest weight 222. Presurgery weight 202; now 189. I haven't seen the scale move since last Monday so one week with no change. Trying not to get frustrated. Really bad constipation to the point I think I'd lose five pounds if I could go! Recommendations?
  2. My dr and nut say count half of the protein shakes as liquid. I like that compromise. So a 12 ounce shake counts 6 ounces towards fluid goal.
  3. Oh, and track dehydration easily by looking at your pee. As long as it's still clear you're fine. Worry about dehydration if you are getting dizzy when standing, feel extremely weak, dizzy when go for a walk, delirium. An try some warm broths as those felt better for me
  4. I had the same problem for probably a week post op. I am 2.5 weeks out now and have no problems. I actually had pain to the point of keeling over after every sip. My doctor told me to just focus on the fluids (esp some with electrolytes like diluted G2) and not worry about the Protein. That way you get enough Water to keep dehydration at bay while waiting for the pain to go away. It is normal to have esophageal spasms and stomach spasms right now. There is a ton of inflammation in there that can cause the muscles to go a little crazy but it'll get better! Best of luck and if it gets so severe you can't keep fluids down call doctor at once.
  5. In the market for a small scale that's accurate. Thanks!
  6. Lovietobeme what website? Thanks
  7. I am 2.5 wks post op and am starting to incorporate puréed and really crunchy foods per my surgeon. I understand we aren't supposed to drink 30 min before or after, but I can't imagine why. Right now my goal with eating is to try new foods and see how I tolerate them. I am not eating for fullness (I'm not really hungry to begin with!) Accordingly, what is the problem filling my stomach with liquids at the same time? Seems like the point would be so we are full of nutrient rich food and not liquid when we have a meal--but I'm only taking small bites of food. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  8. For me, I told the people who 1) were closest to me and 2) 'needed' to know for professional reasons/were my allies at work.. Having said that, I'm not too ashamed to tell the guy at gnc or the woman at smoothie king! My advice would be the same as my advice for buffets...start small cause you can ALWAYS go back for more!
