  1. You CAN do this and you will be thankful post-op. I won't lie, it's not easy everyday - but it gets easier after surgery and easier every day thereafter. I'm 2.5 weeks out and I can't believe it but I FORGET TO EAT!!!! That's how not hungry you become. It's a feeling I know I would never be able to achieve w/o the sleeve. 2.5 wks post-op: down 19.5 lbs from surgery weight hang in there!
  2. Thanks Salesking! That is really helpful. I love that you mentioned avocados, I ate 1/2 each day on my pre-op diet and MISS THEM horribly. I'm anxious to try it this week when I'm back to work. Good to hear from someone else that is doing this while juggling work travel, it helps a lot! I'm down by the Iowa border on a rural farm so I'm not too sure I'll get to catch up with you in person... That's what makes this site so great - good outreach no matter where you are. Good luck on the road (literally and figuratively!).
  3. I am 9 day out, try getting some soup like chicken noodle or veg beef, making it, and then straining it for the broth... It tastes WAY better than the broth in a can does keep strong you will get to full liquids soon then you can have PUDDING!!! We celebrated that day in my household
  4. Where did you order them from? I was sleeved last week and I'm SOOOO grossed out by the OTC Vitamins I bought pre-surgery. Going Vitamin hunting tomorrow. Are yours specially formulated to meet the sleevers needs??
  5. Hey everyone! I was sleeved last Friday, May 24th and I have been so surprised with the quick rebound from surgery... I'm feeling really good already! It's not all rainbows and unicorns but it sure beats what I was expecting. Dr. Leslie and the staff at the UofM Fairview were great. I was out on Sunday morning and have me first post-op tomorrow AM.
  6. Hi! I was just sleeved last Friday, May 24th at the U of M Fairview, Dr. Leslie. It went great and I would definitely recommend him.
  7. Hi everyone, I just signed up for this site today with the hope that there were others from the state on here. Happy to see that there are! I live in southern MN (Albert Lea area) and have just started the process with the surgery team at the U of M Medical Center. My tentative surgery date is at the end of April. I have to lose 20 lbs by then so that's challenge #1. Thank you all for sharing your stories on here, exactly what I needed to keep the hope.
