  1. You look amazing! Great inspiration to me. Congrats.
  2. You are transformed! Fantastic!
  3. This picture compares day of surgery and my 2 month mark. Wow! Down 27 pounds in 2 months which makes a loss of 47 pounds total including pre-surgery. I have more to go. But so proud that I'm doing this! Have been at this weight since college, 20 years ago!
  4. Am I the only one who steps on the scale every morning and every night and logs my weight in a journal that sits on the bathroom counter? I'm a visual learner and seeing the numbers helps. I only "officially" count Saturday's weight.
  5. I think it tastes like what baby spit up smells like. Does that make sense? It's the protein smell. I have to disguise it in my shake with spinach and SF syrup. It grosses me out. But I don't want to let a whole tub of it go to waste.
  6. Awesome ideas. Are the steak strips in the frozen section?
  7. I was sleeved on 1/28 also. I'm not gaining weight but I haven't lost in almost 2 weeks. My carbs are low and protein is high. Calories are 600-800 daily. It's frustrating but part of the process, I understand. What are your calories? Do you ladies use my fitness pal to track? We have to stick together.

  9. You are very welcome! I really enjoy mine & its easy to clean. It took a few tries to get the hang of pushing the veggie handle with one hand and cranking the handle with the other. But now I'm a wiz! Hope you enjoy it too!
  10. http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Tri-Blade-Spiral-Vegetable-Slicer/dp/B006THC75E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362174159&sr=8-2&keywords=Veggie+curly+slicer I have this slicer to cut zucchini and other veggies to use instead of pasta. It works great! I used in during pre-op to lose weight. I intend to use it again once I introduce veggies again. Great kitchen tool.
  11. Hi guys, all I can say that after liquids & purees, that the sashimi was magical! It felt so good to be out! Thanks everyone!
  12. Today is my 1 month surgiversary. I am SO excited to go out to eat & spend some time with my sister. It's been over a month since I've been to a restaurant. That's unusual for me. So, we are hitting my favorite Japanese restaurant. I used to order sushi rolls or stir-fry dishes pre-surgery. Tonight I plan on ordering sashimi because it doesn't have any rice or possibly some tuna takaki. Any thoughts or experiences with sashimi?
  13. I love my Ninja with the travel cups. I also am starting to think I will need a toaster oven soon. My meals I make are very small, so it makes sense to use one instead of firing up the big oven.
  14. I'm almost 4 weeks post-op and wake up every night with dry mouth! I'm hitting 64oz of liquid daily. So I tried to up it yesterday to eliminate that terrible nightly dry mouth. But I still had it last night! I will keep trying to up the liquids. It's like a hangover without all of the fun!
  15. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and had my first cup of decaf this morning. It was lovely, even if it was decaf. Not sure when to switch over to the real stuff. It was a struggle to switch to decaf before surgery. Maybe I will stay decaffeinated!
  16. I found some at Home Goods but they were the plain ones. Can't wait to try them in a few weeks! I wonder how the wasabi peas will be as a crunchy snack? Less protein...
  17. No trouble here with the spiciness if the buffalo recipe. I looked forward to eating something a bit spicy and flavorful! I was a bit unsure, as you, with my first few bites. But no problems so far. I've been putting Tabasco on my morning egg and Sriracchi (sp?) on my refried beans! Love it! So glad my new little stomach still likes the spice!
  18. Great idea Cadilex to put unflavored Unjury in crystal light! Why didn't I think of this? Much cheaper than the zero carb Isopure bottles. Thanks!
  19. I looked on their website and saw they may have them at Marshall's or TJMaxx. I will look there. Then, of course, Amazon! Thanks. I just started purée foods today and am so excited!!! Never thought I'd ever say that. So, I have some time before the yummy sounding wasabi edamame.
  20. I will need to look in the organic snack aisle. Not sure if I can find the here in PA.
  21. Do you make these or something you can buy? I love wasabi!
  22. Mine is ajdub22. Surgery date was 1/28.
  23. I'm a 2nd grade teacher and had my surgery last Monday. I was thinking of taking 3-4 weeks even though my doctor approved up to 6 weeks. I think I'm going to get through the puréed stage before going back. It's going to be hard to get through the day. I'm afraid I will get so busy I won't make my protein & water goals. I will wait closer to the time to make a decision. But maybe start with half days to make a gradual return. Dreading the teacher's lounge...
