  2. HI CLAUDIA. I HAD MY T/T DUE TO PERSONAL CHOICE, MY B4 AND AFTER PICS ARE ON THIS P/S SECTION IM 6 WEEKS POST T/T. ITS BEEN ALOT OF PAIN BUT MADE A DIFFERENCE TO HOW I FEEL,BASICALLY I WANTED TO FINISH THE JOURNEY I STARTED OVER 2 YEARS AGO, AND I FEEL IM JUST STARTING TOO GET THERE NOW. IT WAS THE RIGHT DECISION 4 ME, BUT I DONT AGREE WITH PEOPLE MAKING THEM SELF MORE ILL JUST TO GET OPERATIONS THATS WRONG!! PLASIC SURGERY ISNT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY AS ITS MAJOR SURGERY AND NEEDS ALOT OF THOUGHT AND CONSIDERATION B4 THE FINAL DECISION IS MADE. ANY WAY THATS MY THOUGHTS ON THE MATTER. LIZ XXX
  3. I WAS ABSOLUTLEY FINE TAKING PILLS I ALSO DID NOT HAVE A DE FILL. SOME ONE TOLD ME RECENTLY THAT THEY SHOULD OF DE FILLED ME 4 ANESTETIC PURPOSES, SOUNDS STRANGE TO ME, AS I WAS FINE WITH OUT A DE FILL.
  4. WELCOME TO LBT SIMON, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BAND JOURNEY !! LIZ XXX
  5. Hi im sorry to hear of your fears of the kitchen, may be trying a evening class in cooking will help you over come your fears and u will also meet new freinds too. Hope this helps Liz xxxx
  6. LOL well said !!:)The band has done nothing but give me my life back NOT ruin it, people that try and say these things are just non understanding of WLS and frightened of the unknown to them. Parenets should be supportive 100%, not trying to put people down for making a very brave decision ! My band was the best decison of my life i just wish i had done it a long time ago. Liz xxxx
  7. ive had my band over 2 years now and im still freezing, some one suggested to me that it may be lack of nutrition, i dont know but i wouldnt mind a warm too lol !!
  8. Yeah i love clothes, and i love shopping too now, im also enjoying not been ripped off by paying more because i needed the extra sizes, i love it and all this hard work has paid off just being able to go in to normal clothes shops.
  9. yeah !! i agree, clothes was also a big problem 4 me, it was so expensive buying the larger sizes, i can now go in all the regular shops i even go in matalan now i love it, im still swollen from a recent tummy tuck but i bought a pair of size 14 track suit bottoms, and that felt good after wearing a size 28 b4 banding, my band has made such a big impact on my life in all aspects, and i would do it all again with no regrets.
  10. Hi Helen, one of the worst things for me wen i was fat was the summer, any heat at all made me sweat real bad, also there wasnt many summer clothes that looked nice on me so i tended to cover up alot and hide away.
  11. OH believe me the band does not affect alcohol i still drink as much as i like and its no different from before i had the band, you enjoy it. Just in moderation as the hidden calories are naughty lol. Liz xxxxxx
  12. hi i had a tummy tuck 4 weeks ago my b4 & after pics are in plastic surgery part of this site.
  13. Hi there, i dont work at the moment im just a full time mum. Tommorrow will be 4 weeks since mt t/t i still cant do any thing strenuous, but a desk job maybe ok, i would recommend at least 4-5 weeks off work as i become very tired doing simple things at the moment, but every one is different you will know when you are ready to do more and return too work. Liz xxxxx
  14. Hi i will be posting more recent pictures very soon as it is nearly a month now since my t/t. Liz xxxx
  15. Hi kitty, ive had my band 2yrs 3 months, and the 1st thing i had to give up was bread or any kinds of foods with bread including pizza, 1 bite makes me vomit as it gets stuck no matter how much you chew it,so i just accepted it and dont even bother trying to eat them no more, as its not worth the pain. You need to think very carefully about what u really want in life, i wanted my health before the food, thats why i chose surgery, but u have to come to terms with it mentally as u cant have it both ways or they would be no point in getting a band. I wish u every luck with your future. Liz xxxxxxxxxxxx
  16. Hi there, 1st of all i wish you good luck with your up coming ops in August, which is the day after my wedding anniversary. The answer to your 1st question is no they did not unfill me at all before my surgery im exactly how it was previous, as for my port it feels in the same area, they may have moved it slightly with the pulling of the skin but it feels in practically in the same place. I hope this helps answer your concerns. from Liz xxxxx
  17. Hi Fran, thankyou for your comments and the answer to your 1st question is YES ! it hurt very much so, today it is 3 weeks since my surgery and im still in alot of pain, im still on 16 pain killers a day but im hoping to come off them soon. I live in the UK and had both my tummy tuck and my band done on our health service which is called the NHS so i didnt have to pay. ive have lost in total i think approximatly 98 pounds as we work in stones here, i hope that answers your questions. Liz xxxxxxxxx
  18. Hi anon, i think i will have to wear the corsett for a few more weeks, no i didnt have liposuction as its only 3 weeks today since surgery, i dont know if that will be a option further on in time or if i even want that, as i feel like my bodys had enuff as im still in so much pain, im just taking it day by day at the moment. Liz xxxx
  19. Hey Brandychick, cool name !! thankyou for your comments, ive had my check up and most of the scaring is healing well, i have a little bit leakage at the bottom, so still have to wear the corsett for a while longer, im on weekly checks so every thing should be ok. thanks Liz xxxx
  20. Hello Lili, thankyou so much for your kind comments, as for the swelling its some thing im going to have to put up with for a little while longer, it makes me feel so much better about my decision with all the support im getting from people like yourself. Thankyou to you and every one that has answered or veiwed this thread, its much appreciated ! Liz xxxxxxxxx

  22. hi, yes ive lost 3 of my 5 old scars and the 2 that are left are very faded so im pleased about that, as it gives me an indication on how my new scars will heal in time. Liz xxx
  23. Im taking it easy yes but im getting about abit more now, going to the hospital in 1 hour for a check up, i will let you all know what they say on my return. Liz xxx
  24. hi i had both my surgerys done in the uk on the nhs, which didnt cost me any thing, so im not quite sure what it cost private
  25. Hi Josephine. the incision upwards and above the tummy button is where they took skin away from my front which there for pulls in my sides where i had alot of loose skin, and pulls in my sides giving me my body shape back. Im glad that you are not suffering any pain , as im in a fair bit of pain still at the moment and also on alot of pain killers. The pictures are a little deceiving as i do have alot of swelling and this varies from day to day, im looking forward to getting into smaller clothes but with the swelling im still wearing my old ones. This will all come i time, i also just like u wear a body stocking, and it gives me alot of support, which i feel i really need at the moment. Best wishes Liz xxxxxxxxxx
