I actually went ahead and call pre-authorization today...they said my paperwork had just been received today and I didn't even have a claim number. I had been going back and forth with my surgeons office...so I wanted to be sure it had been sent. I was told it would be done Wednesday, I asked her to let me know when it was submitted. Hadnt heard from her by friday, called back then and she said was would fax it that day. The rep for Anthem was really nice and told me to call back either tmw or thr next day to get my claim number...she can bet I will!

This thread has helped me a lot! My coordinator said she was submitting Friday. I have Anthem Blue Cross. I've been checking their site to see if I see the claim. After reading this I will be calling pre-certification tomorrow. Thanks for the info
