I'm from the North Rockland area but will be having my sleeve done on the 11th in Englewood

I'm also looking for people who have been through this recently to maybe hang out with, as the only people who will understand what we are going through is each other

Hey everyone,I'm actually from Stony Point, I'm getting sleeved on the 11th and extremely nervous.

I don't have a pre-op diet..I asked my doctor and he said I should be starting to drink a protein shake and cutting down on the food I eat, but nothing specific.

Thanks good luck to you as well..Where are you from? Were you given a pre-op diet?

2/11/13 is when I'm supposed to have my surgery. I'm so nervous and scared as to what is to come. I'm also excited for a new life. Part of me wants to stop all of this but I know its what I need. Anyone else have similar feelings?

If you try the shakes at Vitamin Shoppe and don't like it they have a 90 day return policy even if its opened.

Hello, I'm Virginie but my friends call me Gin. I just turned 30 and decided this year to have the sleeve done because I want to start having a family soon. My ankles, and knees have started to bother me and climbing up stairs has become hard. I go tomorrow for my pre-op appointment. I'm petrified of having this surgery because my cousins wife has scared me because she had the gastric by pass and has been in the hospital for almost all of the last year, and due to that she is not being supportive. I have a loving husband who supports me 100%. I hope to make some friends in the Rockland County area who has had this surgery.

I have my pre-op today...no scheduled date for surgery yet but hoping in the next 3 weeks or so. Any advice?
