  1. Hey everyone, I was having a pitty party today cause I was lonesome. I watched a couple of episodes of Mig Medicine, hope you have all seen it, anyway Allen the guy that was close to 1000lbs, was going through panic attacks and having a hard time dealing with not eating and it dawned on me; thats what is wrong with me. :clap2::clap2: I am supposed to be eating my way through everything! Being only 4 days out from being banded, it is starting to sink in, just how many times I would normally be eating in a day! I think the liquid stage gives not only a time to heal our tummy, but most important our minds!!! It is amazing that we stuff so much food into our bodies and not even realize we are eating:hungry:
  2. Thanks you so much I would love some help!!!!!!! I do not want to harm my band, and you are right they do the surgery and send you on your way with a little lists. My email is wilbevo@comcast.net. Thank you, Beverly
  3. I am 3 days post op and every few minutes I want to come to the board and ask another question. I realize its not interesting like the intimate ones however, I need help. I am trying to get my protiens in but my question is can I drink to much of shakes, water etc while on the liquid stage?? I am full and still do not have the protiens in yet for today:help::help::help::help:
  4. I think all of us have failed over and over and over! That is why we chose the band. We have to have that tool to ensure that we do this and get healthy. I have failed weight watchers about 7 times, all the diet pills, all of the diet centers on the local corners not to mention I have every diet book, tape dvd, cd and movie on how to lose the weight! I was a self pay 13900.00. When I ask my husband honey are you sure we can do this loan, he said you bet! We invest in anything else cars, homes, boats and question when we invest in us! I think that is what makes us failures!!! Not believing in ourselves enough to take this journey! Go for it, You are worth it
  5. Hey I am 3 days post op and having trouble getting the protiens in. They said they want me to get in 60 gms of protiens per day. So far today I have 16! I had carnation instant breakfast for morning, 1/2 cup of cream of potatoe soup strained at lunch and 1/2 cup of sugar free pudding. I am full. how can i get them in??????????

  8. I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I had my surgery on the 27th and other than being sick on my stomach from the anesthesia the first day I have not had any problems. I am a little sore but drove across town this morning. I have not felt huger at all and I started clear liquids on Tuesday so this is my 4th day on clear liquids. I have not had any gas pain and very little pain at the incision sites. I hope you feel better tomorrow!
  9. I started the Clear Liquids the day before surgery and will move to full liquids tomorrow. Which means I get to have yogurt, pudding etc. Yeah.. I have to say I have not been hungry at all! I got the new ap band, I don't know what size I will find out next week when I go in for my Post op. Your date is fast approaching. I am so happy for you! I hope your recovery goes as well as mine has. I actually drove this morning.
  10. :help: I take 6 pills ever morning and I am having problems fetting them down. The smaller ones are ok I just drink plenty of fluids behind them. However, they seem to come back in my throat, the teaste is horrible! The worst ones are tricor and gloucouphage. how in the world do you get them down. I have tried crushing them but the teaste makes me want to puck:omg: All suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Beverly
