  1. Hi all I was sleeved on 6th march I've lost 23 kgs, but haven't lost anything for 3 months. I think it's time to get back to basics n start some serious excersie. Has anyone else had such a long stall?
  2. Hi all , I haven't posted for ages & I'm posting now for your help. I was sleeved in march and was losing steadily but have hit a plateau for 5 weeks now. I'm steeping up my Water today & have started using my fitness pal again to try and monitor my Protein so I can get 70 grams a day. I've vowed to walk around the block every nite to see if that helps too. Anyone got any other ideas to kick startup weightloss again?
  3. •I try to eat 2/3 avocados a week , but no other good fats, I guess that's probably not enough. •I do see a Nut, but am not due to see her for a few weeks. •My intentions where to start a multi Vitamin as soon as I was on a full diet again , However I wasn't able to find a brand that had a small capsule ( I find the large ones hard to swallow ) So I bit the bullet and purchased some 2 weeks ago. I googled my symptoms & it turns out when hair follicles go into the resting phase they can cause itchy/burning/irritation & numbness. Ill call my Drs office on Friday , as its a public holiday in Australia today . Hopefully it's nothing to worry about it... Although it is driving me nuts! Benadryl is a cough elixir here in Australia, are u suggesting I take some kind of antihistamine perhaps? Thanks everyone for your comments & suggestions ????
  4. Oops I meant can bearly feel my scalp...
  5. Hi all, I know this sounds weired, but I'm suffering from an insanely itchy head , yet when I scratch I can nearly feel my scalp. I had my sleeve 6 weeks ago, I'm wondering if anyone else is having this weired sensation? Could it have something to do with the hair loss that sometimes occurs post surgery?
  6. Hi everyone! My name is Simone , I'm newly sleeved 6/3/13 & am on purée foods. im loving my sleeve, just have a couple of questions & was hoping some one might b able to answer. Firstly & thankfully I have zero hunger, well actually I here my tummy rumbling but I really have no desire to eat. Now should I be eating anyway, so forcing myself to eat? I'm scared ill get that gobble dog habbit back. Secondly about Protein , whilst I was on shakes I was losing quickly and getting all the protein I needed, but now on purée I'm finding it hard to get all the protein in. I posted on the international site about getting more protein in and I was given ideas about products available in the US. So I'm hoping my Aussie counterparts may have some ideas ?
  7. Well done, u look fantastic! Was there a lot of excercise involved for this amazing transformation?
  8. That's a great idea, that may help easy their minds! Perhaps your mum should also go with you ?
  9. Their reaction is clearly the reason why you didn't tell them! Don't let anyone stand in your way, I'd be saying I'm an adult I've done my research and I've made my decision . I'd like your support , however if u don't like my des ion then respectfully I'd ask u to keep your opinions to yourself. And seriously how's ur husbands form .... Ringing your parents behind your back.... Sounds like a bit of sabotage to me. Im not trying to be nasty n I'm sure your husband loves you, but if my husband did that to me, I would go off my head! I didn't have surgery in Mexico but many others on this site have and have survived. Good luck with your dilemma , follow your heart, do what u want to do, not what others want you too, it's your body n your life after all
  10. Thanks for all your replies everyone , so many great ideas
  11. Hi all I'm 3 weeks post up and have lost 20 pounds through drinking shakes . As soon as I hit purée stage I stalled. I'm eating eggs for Breakfast a shake for lunch & I purée what ever my family is eating for diner for myself.usually rice and a casserole or ill have a Soup. I know I'm not eating enough Protein, any suggestions on puréed protein? Also I'm walking 20 minutes a day . My stats are Pre surgery 246 Post surgery 224 I have also lost 6 inches. I think my loss so far has been good, but no it could be better if I eat more protein. Thanks Simone

  14. Hang in there darlin, I had those same thoughts 2 days after surgery. I was so down & thought omg what have I done, why did I do something so drastic. I kept thinking ill never be able to eat like I used to , which actually brought me alot of comfort and a sense of happiness .but believe me this feeling will pass, everyone's different for me it only lasted a few hours for others it can be a couple of days . The truth is after pured food phase we can eat whatever we want , just in small portions. After all we are supposed to eat to live, not live to eat. I know my thinking used to be live to eat not the other way around. I just loved food and the feelings that came with eating, but 20 years of eating with no control , has made me sick & overweight . Sorry i started to ramble there!! Anyway , uour feelings are normal its ok , just remember you will be able to eat your fav foods again just in small portions ? Who knows maybe as your body starts to trim down you may not even crave those foods anymore! Best of luck , hope you cheer up soon :-) Sent from my iPhone using VST
  15. No you weren't alone, I had a message come up advising scheduled maintenance Sent from my iPhone using VST

Tell you what I had a bit of a panic attack yesterday afternoon, just started thinking far out what have I done, this it's so drastic. I kept freaking for about 2 hours, but I'm ok today. I think I'm scared I won't be able to eat to feel good. I guess I will learn new ways to treat myself Does everyone go through a OMG what did I fo moment? Sent from my iPhone using VST
