  8. After a long haul I am down to the final countdown 10 days and hopefully I will be in my hospital room recovering from the best surgery decision I've ever made I am overwhelmed with emotion mostly being excited and if I think too much I get a little nervous but I know that this is the best decision that I can make for myself and my future I'm not sure what I'm nervous of maybe the new lifestyle that I will be living but I know that that is what I need to do in order to be healthy this has been a long time coming I was supposed to get the surgery in July but I got tonight for my insurance company because they say obesity is a pre existing condition so we waited and resubmitted on January 21st I finally got the approval and had set up my surgery for February 11th but God had a different plan for me I went to the hospital the last Tuesday of January and found out later that night I need my gallbladder removed the thing that relieve me the most was that I found out that my bariatric surgeon was in fact a general surgeon and he performed my gallbladder removal surgery I know he's a great doctor and I am excited to have him working on me. So now I am fully recovered from gallbladder surgery and I'm setting up for surgery on March 6 it's the final countdown for me 10 days and I start my new life. How was every other March sleever feeling

  15. Well we submitted last Monday and I still haven't heard anything however I'm holding out hope because when I submitted in July and got denied it was within 1 day my doctor's office keeps telling me that by them not hearing anything that's usually a good sign is that true
  16. So this is definitely been a long time coming and I really cannot believe that it is now time to submit for approval to my insurance company I was supposed to get my surgery back in July but because of a pre existing condition wait period I had to wait until today January 18th if you have had insurance for 1 year and have the pre existing condition wait period be over. After my to doctors appointments today I rushed home to call my insurance company and confirm that the wait period is now over and that is exactly what they told me I then went to my surgeon's office for my nutritional visit and it was the first time since my first appointment that I was actually in a good mood because I knew that I was close to the end. At the conclusion of a visit with the nutritionist I was so happy and almost in shock that it really really really might happen the girls at the desk told me that they could submit as early as Monday and I should hear something either by the end of next week or early the following week. Just thinking about the phone call of them telling me that I am approved is more than enough to get me emotional. I told my closest friends when they get that phone call I'm probably going to react as if somebody proposed to me because it has been such a long time coming. In my dreams the song by Kelly Clarkson a moment like this should be on cue and waiting to play as soon as I get my phone call. I really cannot believe that it is time for 1 of my biggest dreams to come true and I am so so so excited I cannot wait to share all of my good news with you guys out there!!!!!
  17. I was scheduled for surgery back in July and my insurance company denied me because I had a pre existing condition wait period. as of January 18th I will have had my insurance for 1 year. My doctor's office is planning on resubmitting the claim for surgery end of January early February. I think that because I have completed my first year with the insurance company there should be no problems for my surgery to be approved however I am still very nervous about it being denied. Has anyone else experienced this and how did it work out for you. My surgery is now scheduled for February 11th
