Thanks everyone for ur words of support. Dicoyte - 3 days! I'm super jealous. Lessismore - I have dietician issues. I didn't really get anything out of my dietician appointment at all. I did speak to my surgeon about it and his response was "you don't have to go back to her" so now I am on the hunt for a new one. If it doesn't settle down though I think I will ring the surgeon Kelliv and mybigescape - I am definitely going to try this. Thankyou One_elle - so above re dietician. Thankyou to everyone for ur suggestions. I know I can do this and I will survive and it is so good to know I have heaps of experience and support to rely on. ????- Attention ! Australian Sleevers
Hi guys. I started opti today and have a question already!!! Both the shakes and the bars are making me dry reach uncontrollably. I held my nose and skulled down the shake only to dry heave for about 1/2 hour afterwards. Let me just say sitting at my desk dry reaching is NOT a great look. Any tips.......?- Attention ! Wow! Lissa, u look amazing. I can only hope to get there too! I would be over the moon to be a size 14. Damn at the moment I would be happy with a 22!!!!! I am from Toowoomba. R u here for long or just passing through? I am so inspired by everyone's stories and the journeys you have all shared and cannot wait until I too can share my experience with others. Off to my psych appointment tomorrow and surgeon next week so hopefully I will have a surgery date to share really soon- Attention ! Australian Sleevers

Hi guys. I saw my dietician a week ago last Friday, so things r starting to happen slowly. I found her to be really nice and we had a great chat, but she didn't really give me any information at all. I got one sheet with pre op Optifast instructions and she told me to come back when I was two weeks post op and that was it. So...now I'm feeling a little bit let down by the experience. Looks like I'm going to be relying on you guys heaps and heaps over the coming weeks/months! So glad I've found this forum. I have started going back thru the posts from the start (even though I've already read it) and this time I'm taking notes. Lol. Don't see my surgeon again until 26/6 and hope to set a surgery date then, so back to waiting for now.- Attention ! Australian Sleevers

There are just so many questions!!! I'm going to main ask about the pre-op stuff. I have done a lot of research prior to deciding that this is what I want to do, so I feel really prepared. I'm sure that will change over the coming weeks, but for now I'm really confident in my decision and just want it to all hurry up!- Attention ! Australian Sleevers
Hi Raylee, I too have private health, but applied for super to cover out of pocket expenses. It took ages!!! Apparently it usually only takes about 3 weeks, but mine took about 6!!! They received my application 27/3 and it was approved last Friday. There were issues as they relocated offices and now they r behind. I recommend ringing them. I rang twice - firstly to make sure my app was received and then to check on progress. I will keep my fingers crossed for u! On a different note I have my dietician appointment this Friday. I am excited!- Attention ! Australian Sleevers

Hi everyone. Like many newbies on here I have been "stalking" this thread for about 6 months now and I must say u guys give me so much hope and encouragement. I found out today my application for early release of super has been approved, so things seem to finally be falling into place. My next surgeon visit is set for 26/6 so I'm hoping for a surgery date a couple of weeks after that! I am very excited. Jimbo, where did u get the bowl and plate from? They look great! HelenAccount
